창세신화를 통한 문학의 생성 원리 고찰

국문 초록

창세신화에는 신이 우주만물을 창조했다는 내용이 담겨 있다. 그러나 창세가 실재하는가에 대한 논란을 피하기 어렵다. 왜냐하면 신이 우주만물을 창조했다면 인간은 피조물이므로 태초가 실재하는지 직접 확인할수 없기 때문이다. 그러나 창세신화의 화자는 신이 우주만물을 창조하였다고 말한다. 창세의 근거로서 자연의 사물과 현상, 그리고 인간을 제시한다. 이것은 대상이 분명하지 않을 때 실체가 분명한 사물과 관련지음으로써 대상을 선명히 드러내려는 은유적 언어 표현의 사례이다. 따라서 창세신화는 은유의 생성 과정을 분석하여 문학의 생성 원리를 고찰하는 데 유용한 언어 자료이다. 은유를 산출하는 창조적인 언어활동은 주체와 대상의 관계를 전도시키는 인간의 사고 능력과 관련된다. 그러므로 문학의 생성 원리를 고찰하려면 인간의 사고를 메타적으로 연구하는 철학의 논의를 참조할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 독일의 관념론 철학자인 셸링이 ‘자유’의 본질에 대하여 논구한 내용에 주목하였다. 그가 고찰한 내용 중에서 ‘동일성’의 개념을 중심으로 은유가 산출되는 과정을 고찰하였다. 다양한 은유를 산출함으로써 문학을 생성하는 원리를 고찰하기 위해 ‘자유’의 본질에 대한 셸링의 논의를 참조하였다. 개념과 원리를 적용하여 실증적인 분석을 하기 위해 선정한 자료는 1923년에 손진태가 채록한 ｢창세가｣이다.

영문 초록

In the Genesis mythology, it is said that God created everything in the universe. However, it is difficult to avoid the controversy over whether the world is real. Because, if God created all things in the universe, man is a creature and can not directly confirm whether the beginning is real. However, the speaker of the myth of creation says that God created everything in the universe. As the foundation of the creation, we present the things and phenomena of nature and the human being. This is an example of a metaphorical language expression in which when a subject is unclear, the substance is associated with a clear object to reveal the object clearly. Thus, Genesis myth is a useful language for analyzing the generation process of metaphors and examining the creation principle of literature. The creative linguistic activity that produces the metaphor is related to the human mind’s ability to evangelize the relationship between subject and object. Therefore, it is necessary to refer to the discussion of the philosophy of metaphorically studying human thoughts in order to examine the principle of creation of literature. In this study, F. W. J. Shelling, an idealist philosopher of Germany, paid attention to the essence of ‘freedom’. He explained the process of calculating metaphor based on the concept of ‘identity’ among the contents that he examined. We refer to Schelling’s argument about the nature of ‘freedom’ to consider the principle of producing literature by producing various metaphors. The data selected for the empirical analysis applying the concepts and principles are “Chang-se-Ga”, written by Son Jin-tae in 1923.
