경험서사 쓰기 교육 연구

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 경험을 서사화하는 자전적 소설의 양상을 장르로서 일별하고, 이러한 장르에서 나타나는 경험서사 쓰기의 지향성과 유형, 서사적 전략을 도출하였다. 먼저 자전적 소설의 지향성으로는 인물의 내면 공간 발견과 탐색, 경험의 상징화과 미학적 플롯화, 서술을 통한 경험의 사회역사적 의미화 등을 도출하였고, 교육적으로 유의미한 자전적 소설의 서사 형식을 서간 형식의 자전적 소설, 회상 형식의 자전적 소설, 여로 형식의 자전적 소설 등으로 나누어 살폈다. 그리고 자전적 소설의 서사전략 분석의 결과로 초점화된 인물의 내면 고백을 통한 진정성 주장, 공통경험의 강조를 통한 독자의 공감적 이해 유도, 대타자의 설정을 통한 성찰 및 행위 지향 표명 등이 도출되었다. 이상 검토된 경험서사의 표현 원리를 토대로 문학교실 속 학습자의 경험서사 쓰기 능력 향상을 위해 요구되는 교육 내용을 크게 ① 자기표현 동기화 및 지향성의 설정, ②라이트모티프 경험의 발견과 변형, ③ 경험자아와 서술자아의 분리, ④타자의 설정과 방법으로서의 대화 등의 네항으로 나누어 제안하였다. 자전적 서사가 갖는 아마추어리즘의 성격은 허구에 의한 자기표현의 가능성을 넓힌다는 점에서 생산론적 문학교육에 기여하는 바가 크다. 이러한 교육적 실천의 과정에서 학습자들이 쓰기를 통한 정체성 문식성의 신장과 경험서사의 상호 소통 능력의 신장을 이룰수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study is a project to take shape an identity as a writer for student. So I take note of experiential narrative writing. This study analyze 1930~1940s Korean autobiographical novels for educational content design of experiential narrative writing. Especially 1930~1940 autobiographical novels have strong association between private experience and social-cultural context. Thus 1930~1940 autobiographical novels are useful resource for extract principles of experiential narrative writing. This study do research common directivity, writing type, and narrative strategies among 1930~1940 autobiographical novels. As a result, I found that exploration of person’s inner-side, symbolization of experience and aesthetic plot-making, making meaning of experience in social-cultural context as common directivity. Next I found that epistolary novel, reminiscence novel and journey novel as meaningful narrative form in literary education. And I found that sincerity - emphasis through person’s confession, common experience - emphasis for reader’s empathic understanding, self-examination through assumed ‘others’. Based on this theoretical survey, the present study design the activity of experiential narrative writing in literary classroom. This activity is make up four steps: ① motivation of self-expression and setting of directivity, ② finding and changing of light-motif experience, ③ separation of experiencing self and narrating self, ④ setting of ‘others’ and conversation as a method. This study is meaningful because it develop self-expression competence, communication skill of experiential narrative and identity-literacy for students in literary education.
