국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 저학년 자녀를 둔 다문화가정 부모를 대상으로 이들 자녀의 학교생활 적응지원을 위한 부모역량강화 프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과성을 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 프로그램은 대인관계 역량강화, 자녀 학습지원 역량강화, 긍정적 문화정체성 형성을 포함하는 내용으로 구성되었고, 주 1회 회기당 2시간씩, 총 12회기 프로그램으로 진행하였다. 효과성을 분석하기 위해 통제집단과 실험집단으로 나누어 프로그램 전후를 비교하였으며 비모수 검증 및 참여자 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단의 다문화가정 부모들은 대인관계 역량, 자녀 학습지원역량, 긍정적 문화정체성 형성에 있어 부모로서의 역량이 유의미하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 이는 본 프로그램이 초등학교 저학년 자녀를 둔 다문화가정 부모의 역량강화를 위한 실천개입 프로그램으로서 효과성이 있음을 실증적으로 보여준다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 학령기 다문화가정 부모의 역량강화 및 프로그램 개발을 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study were to develope empowerment enhancing program for multi-cultural parents to support school adaptation of children in early elementary school and to validate it’s effectiveness. The developed program was consist of three subordinate elements-the ability to establish an interpersonal relationship, the ability to support school adaptation of children, and the formation of positive multi-cultural identity. The participants for this study were 25 multi-cultural parents lived in Seodaemun-Gu, Seoul. They were separated 17 participants to the experimental group and 8 participants to the control group. The program designed for the experimental group was composed of 12 sessions and practiced during two hours, once a week. For analysis, Non-paramatic tests, Mann-Whitney U Test, Wilcoxon-signed ranks test and interview of participants were used. And the experimental group and the control group were under comparative analysis. As a result, there were significant changes in enhancing the multi-cultural parents’ ability to support school adaptation of children and in the formation of positive multi-cultural identity of the experimental group, but there was not significant change in that of control group. In conclusion, it was verified that this program can be an important tool in enhancing the multi-cultural parents’ ability to support school adaptation of children in early elementary school. Based on this research, suggestions for multi-cultural family practice are provided.
