영문 초록

The cephalometric study is very important for analysis of dentofacial deformities. Previous analytic methods for orthognathic surgery were mostly forcused on quantative method, based on specific cephalometric landmarks. However, considering the variety in size of facial form for each individual, it is considered better for the facial form of each individual to be evaluated by the ratio than absolute value. In order to evaluate the positonal relationships in adult Class Ⅲ malocclusion, the auther used the lateral cephlometrics of 24 adult men and 19 adult women with Class Ⅲ malocclusion. The analysis were based on Archial analysis. The conclusions were as follows: 1. The mean value of ratio in position of ANS, Is. Pog to anterior arc were 95.44, 98.54, 105.90 in men, 96.62, 101.04, 108.07 in women. 2. The mean value of ratio in position of B point to basal arc was 108.07 in men, 108.45 in women. 3. The mean value of ratio in position of maxillary 1st molar to midfacial arc was 95.49 in men, 97.36 in women. 4. The mean value of ratio in position of Gonion to posterior arc was 97.77 in men, 98.33 in women. 5. The mean value of anterior vertical propertion was 108.85 in men, 107.26 in women. 6. The mean value of posterior vertical propertion was 98.28 in men, 90.09 in women. 7. The mean value of ratio in mandibuar corpus to cranial base was 119.13 in men, 120.70 in women.
