영문 초록

This paper investigates several issues regarding the assessments of price volatility of agricultural products based on the coefficient of variation (CV). We found that measurement results of price volatility depend significantly on the method used (e.g., the data, functional form of trend equation and the choice of CV). Empirical results of this paper indicate that assessment of price volatility needs many comparisons between various CV’s acquired from different trend equations, before coming to a final conclusion.
