사회복지전담공무원의 직무스트레스와 우울이 자살생각에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 사회복지전담공무원들의 직무스트레스, 우울이 자살생각에 미치는 영향으로 작용하는지 검증하였다. 본 연구의 위해 사회복지전담 공무원 350명을 대상으로 2014년 12월부터 2015년 2월까지 설문조사를 실시하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 자격증 급수, 전공여부, 성별, 종교에 따른 자살생각은 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났지만, 경제적 상태, 건강상태에 따라 자살생각에 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 우울과 직무스트레스는 사회복지전담공무원들의 자살의 가장 중요한 예측인자로 나타났고 우울과 직무스트레스 수준이 높을수록 자살생각의 수준도 높게 나타났다. 본 연구의 분석결과를 토대로 우울과 직무 스트레스 수준이 높은 자살 위험 군에 있는 사회복지전담 공무원들에 대한 체계적인 관리가 필요하고 신속하게 개입할 수 있는 위기관리 시스템구축이 필요하고, 직무분석을 통해 적절하게 업무분장이 실시되어야 하며 동시에 업무집행에 전문적인 재량성을 주어야 한다고 확인하였다. 따라서 직무스트레스가 높은 사회복지전담 공무원을 대상으로 휴직제도 및 근로자지원프로그램(EAP)가 제공되어야 하고, 자살예방을 위하여 사회복지 전담공무원의 업무에 대한 이해를 통한 자살 예방교육 프로그램을 구성이 필요함을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the impact of job stress, depression, on suicidal ideation thoughts among public welfare officials. From December in 2014 to February in 2015, the survey data were collected from 287 public welfare officials residing Seoungnam city, Suwon city, etc in Gyeonggi-do. The results of this study are as follows: First, economic status and health status were significant predictors of suicidal ideation thoughts among public welfare officials. Second, job stress and depression were strongly associated with suicidal ideation thoughts. The study results provide implications for social work practices. Depression and job stress were major risk for suicidal ideation thoughts. Therefore, social work practitioners should provide a crisis intervention for public welfare officials who have high levels of job stress and depression. Social workers should realize that for public welfare officials, A high-risk public welfare officials should provide integrated assessment. When assessing public welfare officials for suicide risk, the assessment must include an understanding of personal and environmental factors. This study results provide evidence that working environment shall be improved and changed. For example. if public welfare officials have high levels of job stress, the government should provide official vocation. Futhermore, suicide prevention educational programs regularly should provide public welfare officials.
