국문 초록

오늘날 날로 발달하는 디지털 기술을 기반으로 장르에 대한 경계가 허물어지고, 장르 간 교류가 확대되는 시점에서 장르 전환의 문제는 이제 단순한 원작의 재해석 수준이 아닌, 새로운 창작의 시도로 간주되어 문화적 진화의 한 과정으로 수용되어야 한다. 완전히 새로운 원작 콘텐츠를 제작할 때보다 생산 비용과 리스크를 줄일 수 있다는 사실을 미야자키 하야오의 장르 전환 애니메이션 <하울의 움직이는 성>의 성공이 입증해 주었다. 효율적 성공을 위해 수직적·수평적 One Source Multi Use가 문화 산업 전반에 빠르게 확산해 가고 있는 현실에서 매체 교류는 더욱 활발해지고, 여러 매체 간 장르 전환이 광범위하게 진행되고 있는 시점에서 애니메이션 장르 전환의 중요성이나 가치에 대한 인식은 새롭게 다루어져야 할 문제이다. 본고는 미야자키 하야오의 애니메이션 <하울의 움직이는 성> 스토리텔링 전환 전략을 탐구하기 위한 것이다. 다이애나 윈 존스의 판타지 소설《하울의 움직이는 성1》을 미야자키 하야오의 애니메이션 <하울의 움직이는 성>으로 전환 과정의 스토리텔링 전략을 분석하고, 장르 전환 전략의 시사점을 마련하기 위한 것이다. 애니메이션 <하울의 움직이는 성>은 1) 3막의 재구성을 통한 플롯의 긴장 요소 극대화, 2) 캐릭터의 창조적 변용을 통한 동일시 요소확대, 3) 시공간의 분할과 확장을 통한 향유 요소 확대, 4) 상관 및 소구요소의 활용을 통한 재미 요소 확장 5) 향유 요소 활성화를 위한 영상미 강화 등으로 비교적 성공적인 스토리텔링 전환 전략을 구사하였다. 구조적으로 완성도를 높일 수 있는 장르 전환 전략의 다양한 세부 스토리텔링 전략 개발에 주력하는 것이 시급하다는 지적과 함께, 다양한 장르 전환 전략의 활성화로 애니메이션 스토리텔링에 생산적인 역할을 하기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

There are so many culture contents genre which is based on digital technology in these days. And each genre has become mixed and blended, so called conversoion , so that they make a huge foundation to make new cultural contents environment. The adaptation in culture contents genre will be more important process in creative industry. There are some merits of adapted contents than original contents. first of all, the risk of cost and production are down. which is made by Miyazaki Hayao showed that. Not only for this reason, adaptation has grown more and more for the economic success in culture contents industry. This thesis focus on the strategy of adaptation which is concerned about storytelling of Miyazaki Hayao s . is a novel and that is written by diana wynne jones. With this material, Miyazaki Hayao has adapted for animation film as a expert and well known director of animation film. And the animation was success in box-office. I try to find out some strategy of adaptation on this text and with this result, begin a discussion of the adaptation. The five strategies of storytelling of can be found. 1) The maximization of suspense which is made by transformed 3 act theory. 2) The enlargement of uniformed element which is composed by character that is made creatively. 3) The enlargement of general enjoyment from division and extension of time and space. 4) The extension of funny element from interrelationship and appealship. 5) The reinforcement of visual esthetics for the general enjoyment. these are the strategy of Miyazaki Hayao on To concentrate the structural perfection of the genre adaptation strategy focused on developing various storytelling is urgent along with the adaptation strategics and look forward to a productive role. To the activation of various adaptation genres of animation storytelling.
