공급망 역학 관계에 따른 제품 품질, 반품 정책 및 판매 가격의 비교

국문 초록

본 연구는 제품의 품질, 반품 정책 및 판매 가격이 목표 시장 고객들의 구매 및 반품 행동에 영향을 미치는 상황 하에서 공급망 구성원들의 역학 관계가 전체적 성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 제조업체와 판매업 체로 이루어진 공급망 하에서 제조업체는 투자를 통해 제품의 품질을 결정하고, 판매업체는 판매 가격과 반품 정책을 결 정하여 고객 행동에 영향을 미친다. 본 연구는 제조업체가 주도하는 공급망 및 판매업체가 주도하는 공급망 등 각각 다른 역학 관계를 가진 두 가지 공급망 모형을 제시하고, 각 공급망 모형의 특징을 비교 분석하여 현대의 공급망 경영에 중요 한 시사점을 제시한다. 또한 공급망 환경의 변화에 따라 제품 품질 및 반품 정책은 어떻게 변화해야 하는지, 어떠한 공급 망 형태가 더욱 나은 전체적 성과를 보장하는지 밝혀 공급망 경영자들에게 구체적 가이드라인을 제공한다. 제시된 수학 모형의 분석을 통해 본 연구는 공급망 역학 관계가 공급망의 성과에 전체적으로 영향을 미치는 주요 원인 중 하나임을 밝 혔으며, 구성원들 간 한 형태의 역학 관계를 가진 공급망이 다른 형태의 공급망에 비해 더 나은 성과를 보일 수 있는 조 건은 무엇인지 상세히 밝혀 기업의 경영 환경에 따라 어떠한 공급망을 선택하는 것이 유리한지에 대한 가이드라인을 제시 한다. 또한 관대한 반품 정책의 설정이 많은 경우 공급망 성과를 향상시킬 수 있는 원동력이 될 수 있음을 밝혔으며, 반 품 정책을 관대하게 설정하여 공급망 성과를 최대화할 수 있는 환경적 요인이 무엇인지 역시 분석하여 공급망 경영에 도 움이 되고자 한다.

영문 초록

This study investigates the impact of joint decisions on product quality, return policy and sales price in a supply chain. We consider a supply chain consisting of a manufacturer deciding on product quality and a retailer determining both the return policy and sales price. We introduce two different scenarios that consider various possible power dynamics in a supply chain: a manufacturer-leading supply chain and a retailer-leading supply chain. Then, we reveal the decision structure of product quality, return policy and sales price by investigating the equilibrium behaviors of those variables with respect to the environmental changes affecting a supply chain. We also show which supply chain model guarantees overall superior performance and the investigation provides us with important managerial implications. The power dynamics between players is one of the main factors affecting overall supply chain performance. We reveal the conditions under which a supply chain, each with a different type of power dynamics, can outperform the other. As an example, a generous return policy can be the optimal choice only when high product quality is guaranteed. If we can implement a generous return policy, it can provide a chance to further improve overall supply chain performance. We also reveal the environmental conditions under which we can set a more generous return policy.
