국문 초록

온라인은 현대를 사는 사람들의 가장 강력한 커뮤니케이션 방식이 되고 있다. 이제온라인이라는 매개체를 통해 대부분의 콘텐츠가 생산되고 유통되고 소비된다. 이제 소통방식이 변하고 있는 것이다. 그래서 한국전통음악의 저변확대라는 명제를 위해서도 온라인공간의 활용은 시급한 사안이 아닐 수 없다. 한국음악의 세계화 에도 웹사이트 전략이 필요한 시점이다. 이 글은 대중의 소통방식의 변화에 주목해 한국음악의 세계화 라는 관점에서 한국음악을 소개하는 영문웹사이트의 동향을 파악하고, 그 안에 어떤 문제점이 있는지 살펴보고, 이에 대한 해결방안을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 본고는 이를 위한 1차적인 단계로서, 한국음악을 소개하는 웹사이트에 대한 검토 보고서라는 점에서 의미를 가진다고 하겠다. 조사에서 나타난 외국 사이트의 한국 전통 음악 소개의 가장 큰 문제점은 절대적으로 정보량이 부족하다는 것이다. 이는 전문사이트가 거의 없다는 점과 최신 콘텐츠의생산과 유통이 활발하지 않다는 점으로 나타나고 있다. 이와 함께 표기법이 표준화되지 않거나 정보에 많은 오류가 있어 정보 전달력이 떨어진다는 것도 문제점으로 지적되었다. 하지만 가장 큰 문제점은 역시 외국의 영향력 있는 웹사이트에서 한국음악 관련 정보를 쉽게 찾을 수 없다는 것이다. 이를 해결하기 위해 원천 콘텐츠 강화와 위키피디아 등 유명 웹사이트 등에서 제공하는 한국음악 관련 정보를 수정하도록 요구할 것, 그리고 최신 정보의 신속한 업데이트, 동영상 및 시각자료 강화, 관련 사이트 운영자에 대한 다양한 지원이 절실히 필요하다. 아울러 온라인 홍보전문가 양성과 반크(VANK) 등 국내 민간단체, 외국 사이트운영자와의 다양한 접촉이 필요함을 강조하고 싶다. 이러한 모든 일들은 한국음악학자와 국립국악원의 몫이라고 생각한다.

영문 초록

On-line has became the strongest communication tool for the people in this era. Many contents has become produced and consumed through this powerful communication method. The ways to communicate each other has changed. In order to expand the enthusiast base of Korean Traditional Music, building the strategy for proper usage of this strong field of communication will be prerequisite to it. I have acknowledged that we also need to build a new strategy for the Globalization of Korean Traditional Music on the web. In this paper, my purpose was to studied about the change made on the communication devices among the public and its adaptation to their life. I have researched on how these changes have affected the communication paths and of what might needed for promoting the globalization of Korean Traditional Music in current fashion. Data has obtained and analyzed from the web-based informational materials on Korean Traditional Music -especially in foreign language- to suggest the problems and possible solutions within. This paper can be thought as the primary resource material on Korean Traditional Music on the web. The most urgent and significant problems on promoting the globalization of Korean Traditional Music was turned to be the amount of informational resources introduced on the web. There were few web-sites/pages that contain these information, and if any, it was fairly old and useless. I was also able to find that many of those web-based contents contains wrong information on designated subject. This two problems will be the main factor that interfere in promoting the globalization of Korean Traditional Music on the web. In order to solve these problems, we need to update informations on the well-known online informational pages/search engines such as Wikipedia and Google as well as strengthen the quality of original contents. Fast updates on the newest information and audio/video material contents, and support on the providers of such website will be essential for it. Organizations -such as VANC- between the people and the countries need to contact and work closely, and more weight needed to be given on this subject by the professional Korean Musicologist, the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts and last not least, the government.
