중국인 한국어 학습자의 한국어 학습 과정에 대한 근거이론적 접근

국문 초록

이 연구는 한국어 학습자가 한국어를 학습하는 일정 기간 동안 어떠한 학습 과정을 경험하는지를 근거이론으로 설명하고자 하였다. 연구 대상자인 한국어 학습자가 한국어를 전혀 못하는 단계부터 한국어 학습 목적에 도달하는 단계까지 그들이 겪는 한국어 학습 과정에서 반복적으로 나타난 핵심 현상은 ‘한국어 능력 향상’이었다. 핵심 현상에 관여하는 인과적 조건으로는 ‘한국어의 어려움’으로 나타났으며, 인과적 조건에 관여하는 맥락적 조건은 한국 생활의 장점, 한국 생활의 어려움, 주위의 기대이며, 중재적 조건은 한국어 능력을 자각하는 시점, 자기 의지로 도출되었다. 또한 인과적 조건을 해결하려는 상호작용 전략으로는 교실 안에서는 한국어 수업에 적극적으로 참여하기, 교실 밖에서는 친구의 도움 받기, 매체 활용하기, 배운 것 반복하기, 좋아하는 프로그램 반복하여 보기 등으로 나타났다. 한국어 학습 과정에서 겪는 결과로는 한국 대학, 대학원에 진학하기, 삶과 생각의 변화로 정리되었다. 또한 이들이 한국어 학습을 경험하는 과정에서 어떻게 심리적으로 변화해 가는지를 살펴본 결과 ‘호기심과 관심’의 단계에서 ‘안정과 지루함’, ‘반성과 수용’, ‘시도’로 구조화되었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 한국어 학습자가 한국어를 학습하면서 겪는 과정의 변화를 통해 한국어교육에 시사하는 바를 찾고자 하였다.

영문 초록

This study intended to explain the kinds of learning process that Korean language learners experience for a certain period of time of learning Korean language by grounded theory. The major phenomenon that appeared repeatedly in research subjects, the Korean language learners, during the Korean learning process from the very beginning level to the level of reaching their learning goal was ‘improvement in Korean language ability.’ The causal conditions involved in major phenomenon was ‘difficulty of Korean language,’ the contextual conditions involved in causal condition were advantages of life in Korea, difficulties of life in Korea, and expectation from people around them, and conciliatory condition were the point of being aware of Korean language ability and one’s own free will. Also, interaction strategies for settling causal condition included to participate actively in Korean language course in classroom, to receive help from friends outside the classroom, to use media, to repeat what they have learned, and to watch favorite programs repeatedly. Results experienced during the Korean learning process were Korean university, to go on to graduate school, and changes in life and thinking. Also, according to the result of investigating how they change psychologically during the process of experiencing Korean language learning, ‘curiosity and interest’ was structured into ‘stability and boredom,’ ‘self-reflection and acceptance,’ and ‘attempt.’ This study proposed implications for Korean language education through changes of experience and process that Korean language learners experience in learning Korean.
