지역의 굿 전통과 굿음악축제의 방향

국문 초록

지역의 굿 전통과 연계된 굿음악축제의 방향에 대해 살펴보았다. 굿음악은 초자연적 존재와 인간의 소통을, 그리고 사람들끼리의 교감을 극대화시켜주는 장치라고 할 수 있다. 하지만 급격한 사회문화적 변동 속에서 굿과 굿음악이 생애사적 위기에 처해 있다. 그래서 새로운 전승과 계승 방향을 모색할 필요가 있다. 굿은 제의와 예술과 놀이를 두루 포괄하는 개념으로 사용되어 왔다. 무속의례만이 아니라 풍물굿[농악]과 대동놀이도 굿이며, 노래하고 춤을 추며 죽은 이를 보내는 축제식 운상도 굿이고, 세시풍속에 맞춰 노는 것도 굿이고, 들에서 일하면서 풍물치고 노래하는 것도 굿이라고 한다. 그러므로 굿음악 역시 무속음악, 풍물굿, 두레굿(두레풍물, 들노래), 상례굿(호상놀이, 상여소리 등) 등을 지칭하는 용어로 사용할 수 있다. 굿음악축제는 굿음악의 전승의미를 현전화(現傳化) 하자는 의도와 관련 있다. 이 글에서는 지역에 자리잡은 국립남도국악원의 역할에 주안점을 두고 축제의 방향을 모색하고자 했다. 왜 또 하나의 축제이고, 굿음악축제인가 , 지역의 전통을 주목하는 이유는 무엇인가 , 어떤 방향으로 갈 것인가 라는 질문을 던지고 그것에 대한 답을 찾는 방식으로, 굿음악축제가 추구해야할 방향성과 거기에 부합하는 축제 형태를 제안하고자 했다. 먼저 시대정신과 소통하는 축제를 내세우고, 지역의 굿 전통을 새롭게 응용해 지속 가능한 사회를 지향하는 친환경 들굿음악축제 를 제안했다. 그리고 다양성이 지닌 문화적 의미를 창조적으로 파급시킬 수 있는 강강술래축제를 제안했다. 또한 지역적 특성이 두드러진 씻김굿의 전통을 활용해 굿음악축제를 새롭게 기획할 필요가 있음을 제언했다.

영문 초록

Gut[굿] has been used as a concept which comprehensively includes religious rituals, art, and play. Shamanic rituals as well as Pungmulgut[Nongak] and Dadongnori are gut; festive coffin carrying which has singing and dancing to send away the deceased; playing according to seasonal customs is gut; and finally playing musical instruments and singing while working on the field is also gut. Therefore, gut music can be used as a term which comprehensively includes shamanic music, Pungmulgut, Duregut(Dure Pungmul, Deulnorae), funeral gut(Hosangnori and Sangyeonori), etc. Gut music is an instrument that helps the communication between the supernatural beings and humans as well as among humans. In gut music, there is body and life of Korean and their artistic world. However, in the midst of rapid sociocultural change, gut and gut music are on the verge of a serious danger. Therefore, it is time to look for new transmission and its direction. Gut music festival is related to with the intention to modernize the transmission meaning of gut music. This article focuses on the role of the National Center for Korean Namdo Performing Arts and looks for the direction of festival. With the questions such as Why another festival, Why gut music festival? , Why focusing on the tradition of regions? , In which direction? , it attempted to find answers for them and suggest the direction the gut music festival we should pursue and the form of the festival fitting the requirements. Firstly, it suggests a festival which communicates with the modern people, and Environment-friendly Deulgut Music Festival which applies the gut tradition of regions to pursue the sustainable society. Also, Ganggangsullae festival is suggested because it can spread the cultural meaning of diversity in a creative manner. In addition, we raised the need to plan the gut music festival by utilizing the tradition of sitgim gut which are rich in the regional characteristics. This article focuses on providing the theoretical background which will be needed to plan the gut music festival. Coming up with concrete model and practicing it are remaining yet.
