국문 초록

본 연구는 성인학습자의 태권도 수련 참여가 리더십 개발에 미치는 과정을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구를 위해 태권도 수련을 10년 이상 체험하고, 국기원 공인자격 4단 이상의 경험자와 자기주도적 수련 체험을 지속하고 있는 성인수련자를 대상으로 질적연구를 실시하였다. 그 결과 리더십 개발 과정은 다음과 같이 도출되었다. 성인학습자들은 남과 싸우기 위한 수련 태도에 한계를 느끼게 되었고, 무도가치를 깨달으면서 체·덕·지 통합인격체 완성을 향한 도전을 시작하게 되었다. 동작의 반복된 수련으로 몸과 마음과 정신의 균형을 갖게 되고, 꾸준한 내면과의 성찰을 통해 외유내강의 변화된 자신을 발견하게 되었다. 또한 타 무술에 대한 지식과 정보에 관하여 체험을 통해 비교분석 하면서 ‘홀리스틱 안목’을 키우는 기회를 갖게 되었다. 그리고 태권도장을 경영하는 지도자로써 주변인들에게 무도인의 올바른 자세를 본 보이게 되고, 사회적 관계를 위해 노력하게 되었다. 연구 참여자들은 ‘홀리스틱 지혜인으로 거듭나기’ 위해 각각의 전략들의 반복적인 순환과정을 멈추지 않았다. 이러한 변화들은 생활 속에서 개인적, 조직적, 사회적 차원에서 실험경험을 통해 다시 깨달음의 단계로 순환과정을 반복하면서 리더십 개발로 이어지게 되었다.

영문 초록

This study proceeded to aim at analyzing by finding out and clarifying the process affecting adult learners leadership development through Taekwondo training participation. A qualitative research was carried out for this study targeting the 9 experienced adult trainers of more than 10-year Taekwondo self-discipline with a Kukkiwon 4 more-grade qualification certificate who are keeping up self-directed training experiences. The study results of the holistic leadership development process were drawn as follows; adult learners came to feel the limitations of training attitudes to fight against others and realize martial arts values and then started to challenge the completion of a body·mind·spirit whole integrated personality. The subjects got to balance their body, mind and spirit through repeated training movements and find what changed in themselves through an iron hand in a velvet glove and steady inward reflections. These martial artists also had the chance to develop a holistic perspective, namely a holistic discerning eye , through comparative analyses of knowledges and information on other martial arts. Furthermore, they got to exemplify themselves for martial artists proper attitudes as a Taekwondo practitioner in their neighborhood and increase their social connections. The study subjects constant efforts to acquire a rebirth of holistic wisdoms allowed for repeated, circulated process for each strategy to continue. These changes led to leadership development by repeating the circulation process; from personal, organizational, social dimensions in life through experimented experiences into the enlightenment step.
