新石器時代 帶狀反復文土器에 대한 檢討

국문 초록

최근 금강 하구의 군산 노래섬과 가도 유적에서 출토된 빗살무늬토기 중 ‘대상반복문토기’로 명명된 토기에 대해 논의가 진행되고 있어 주목된다. 대상반복문토기는 지금까지 서해안지역을 중심으로 남해안지역까지 그 출토 예가 확인되고 있어 남해안지역과 서해안(중서부지역) 간의 교류 및 상호 시기적인 선후관계를 밝힐 수 있는 자료로 평가되고 있다. 대전 노은동 유적에서 출토된 빗살무늬토기는 충청내륙지역에서 지금까지 확인된 예가 없으며, 금강 하구의 노래섬이나 가도 유적에서 출토된 토기와 유사성을 보이고 있다. 대상반복문토기는 연대와 계통문제에 있어 서로 상반된 의견이 제시되고 있다. 이러한 견해 차이는 대상반복문토기의 계통을 어디로 보느냐에 따라 달라지고 있다. 그러나 대상반복문토기에 대한 계통문제를 논의하기에 앞서 대상반복문토기의 설정범위에 대한 검토가 먼저 이루어져야 할 것으로 판단되어 기존에 인식하고 있지 않던 금탄리 Ⅱ 문화층과 대전 노은동 유적에서 출토되고 있는 빗살무늬토기를 첨가하여 하나의 세부양식을 더 설정하였다. 대상반복문토기에 대한 연대비정은 각 유적의 방사성탄소연대측정값을 통해 살펴본 결과 대상반복문 Ⅰ 식과 Ⅱ 식은 기원전 3,500년을 중심으로 양분되는 현상이 나타나고 있다. 대상반복문토기는 기원전 4,000 ∼ 2,000년에 걸쳐 존재하는 것으로 판단된다. 대상반복문토기가 한반도 중서부지역 중기 설정의 근거로 활용되가에는 다소 어려울 것으로 생각되나 대상반복문 Ⅰ 식토기는 기원전 3,500년 이전에 집중적으로 출토되고 있어 중서부 지역의 신석기시대 교차편년에 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 또한 대상반복문토기는 Ⅰ 식 Ⅱa식 Ⅱ b식으로의 변화를 상정해 볼 수 있으며, Ⅰ 식에서 Ⅱ 식으로의 변화는 기원전 3,500년을 시점으로 급격하게 변화된 것으로 보인다. Ⅱ a식과 Ⅱ b식은 약간의 시기적인 차이가 존재하지만 지역적인 차이도 있는 것으로 판단되는데, 대상반복문 Ⅱ a 식토기는 금강유역을 중심으로 출토되고 있으며, Ⅱ b식은 대동강유역을 중심으로 확인되고 있기 때문이다. 이러한 변화양상은 대상반복문토기 뿐 아니라 신석기시대 빗살무닉토기와 석기, 집자리, 생계방식, 기후의 변화 등 여러 가지 변화양상과 함께 진행되고 있는 것으로 판단된다.

영문 초록

Lately, It is remarkable that it is in debate about the earthen vessels which given a name to Vessels with repeated belt patterns among the Bowls with comb pattern which excavated in the Norae-Island of Kum river and Gado-Island. Till now, There arc some precedents of the Vessels with repeated belt patterns which are being confirmed, centering around the western coast to the southern coast, it s also being valued the material which can be proved interchange and a mutual former-latter relation of time between the southern coast and the western coast(middle-western) Bowl with comb pattern excavated in Kado-Island shellmiddens is no precedent to present. and it s similar to vessels excavated in Norae-Island and Gado-Island. The opposed opinion is presented about an age and lineage problem of Vessels with repeated belt patterns. This gap between views is getting different as seeing where they regard the lineage of it. But before debating the lineage problem of Vessels with repeated belt patterns. it judging that the scope of the establishment of Vessels with repeated belt patterns has to be examined. a detail form was set by addition Bowl with comb pattern excavated in Kado-Island shellmiddens and Gumtanri II culture layer which weren t recognizeJ before. In the results of considering through Radiocarbon dates. a comparative period decision of Vessels with repeated belt patterns. repeating belt patterns I and II are being separated into two parts centering around B.C 3500. Vessels with repeated belt patterns are judged to exist extending over B.C 4,000 ~ 2,000. Vessels with repeated belt patterns hardly seem to use as the reason of setting up the middle of middlewestern area in the Korean Peninsula. but repeating belt patterns I are being excavated all at one time before B.C 3,500. therefore. They will be useful on the Cross daing and seriation of Neolithic age of midwestern area. and it can be assumed to change into repeating belt patterns I, II a and II b, it seemed to change suddenly from B.C 3,500 as the beginning. Between II a and II b exist a time lag. This Vessels with repeated belt patterns II a it is excavated in the Gum-river. and II b is excavated in the Daidong-river. Like this change has Neolithic age bowl with comb pattern. Stone tools. and Dwelling site. Subsistinece economy. Dimatic ... so it is advanced with Vessels with repeated belt patterns.
