영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the level and tendency of overdevelopment in 249 depopulation Eup·Myon·Dong of Jeollanam-do. 7 indices are selected to measure and analyze the over-development. The results are summarized as follows. First, the population was decreased in 91.54%(249) of Eup·Myon·Dong of Jeollanam-do. The average population decreasing rate is 22.88% per Eup·Myon·Dong. Second, road area and urbanized area were increased but the population was decreased from 1995. The road area was increased by average 45.92% and the urbanized area was increased by average 21.90%. Third, the over-development area is found in the northwest parts and the south parts of Jeollanam-do. Fourth, the over-development level of Myon is the highest, followed by Eup and Dong. Fifth, 75 Eup·Myon·Dong of the higher over-development level are classified as 5 different regional types as; 2 industrial region, declined region, urban area sprawl region and road area increase region. In 2 industrial regions, population was decreased but employees and companies were increased much higher than other regions. The declined region include a lot of Myon and is spread out over the inland parts and the south parts of Jeollanam-do. Many Eup·Dong are included in urban sprawl region and is spread out in the seaside parts. The road area increase region is found in the southern parts of Jeollanam-do.
