오브제를 활용한 조형 활동이 다문화가정 아동의 자아존중감 및 친사회적 행동에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 오브제를 활용한 조형 활동이 다문화가정 아동의 자아존중감 및 친사회적 행동에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 실시되었다. 본 연구의 대상자는 G초등학교에 재학하고 있는 다문화가정 아동 10명이며 이중 5명은 실험집단에 나머지 5명은 통제집단에 무작위로 배치하였다. 통제집단은 무 처치하였고, 실험집단 5명에게는 주 2회, 50분씩, 총 20회기 조형 활동 프로그램을 실시하였다. 자료처리는 연구대상자의 자아존중감과 친사회적 행동의 집단 간 동질성을 알아보기 위해 맨 휘트니 검증(Mann-Whitney U Test)을 실시하여 동질성을 확보 하였으며 실험집단과 통제집단의 사전·사후 점수 차이를 알아보기 위해 윌콕슨 부호 순위 검증(Wilcoxon Signed - Rank Test)을 실시하였다. 그 결과 프로그램을 적용한 실험집단의 오브제를 활용한 조형 활동이 다문화가정 아동의 자아존중감 및 친사회적 행동을 유의미하게 증가시켰다. 따라서 본 연구는 다문화가정 아동의 자아존중감 및 친사회적 행동의 변화를 위해 오브제를 활용한 조형 활동 프로그램의 적용에 큰 의의가 있으며, 향후 다문화가정 아동의 심리사회적 중재프로그램으로 오브제가 다양하게 사용될 수 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to examine the effect that formative artistic activities using objets would have on self-esteem and pro-social behavior in children of multi-cultural families. The subjects of this study were 10 children of multi-cultural families who attended G Elementary School, out of whom 5 children were assigned to the experiment group and remaining 5 children were assigned to the control group randomly. The control group was not treated, and the 5 children of the experiment group were involved in formative artistic activity program twice each week in 20 sessions with each session lasting 50 minutes. For the processing of data, homogeneity was ensured by carrying out Mann-Whitney U Test to examine homogeneity between the two groups in connection with self-esteem and pro-social behavior of subjects. To consider the difference in pre and post-scores between experiment group and control group, Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test was performed. The results showed that formative artistic activities using objets of experiment group which applied the program significantly increased self-esteem and pro-social behavior in children of multi-cultural families. Thus, this study is meaningful very much in that it applied formative artistic activity program using objets for changes in self-esteem and pro-social behavior in children of multi-cultural families, suggesting that objets can be used in many different ways based on psycho-social intervention program for children of multi-cultural families.
