순회특수교사들의 교사학습공동체 운영에 대한 사례연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 교사학습공동체 운영 사례를 통해 순회특수교사들이 경험하는 중도ㆍ중복 장애학생의 수업이 어떠한지, 중도ㆍ중복 장애학생과의 수업에서 교사들이 어떻게 성장하는지를 알아보았다. 8명의 특수교사로 구성된 A학교 교사학습공동체를 사례로 하여 질적 사례연구 방법을 적용하였다. 연구결과 첫째, '죽음과 가까이 있는 학생' 주제에서 학생들은 중증 장애와 더불어 심각한 건강문제를 가지고 있는 것으로 드러났으며 이로 인해 교사들은 학생의 죽음과 직면하고 있었고 그들과 보내는 시간을 소중하게 여기고 있었다. 두 번째 주제 '수업을 잃어버린 교사'에서 교사들은 중도ㆍ중복 장애학생의 수업에 적용할 교육과정이나 수업모형이 충분치 않아 수업에 대한 망설임과 두려움을 느끼고 있었다. 마지막 주제 '성찰과 협력을 통해 성장하기'에서 교사들은 자신의 수업을 성찰하고, 동료교사들과 협력하면서 수업의 방향을 찾아가고 있었다. 이 연구의 의의는 교사학습공동체에 참여하는 순회특수교사들이 자신의 수업을 어떻게 인식하고 있는지 알아보고, 이를 토대로 중도ㆍ중복 장애학생을 위한 수업의 방향을 제시하였다는 것이다.

영문 초록

This study has its own meaning to examine how the itinerant special education teachers who belong to the Teacher Learning Community make their classes with a severe and multiple disability and how much the teacher mature as a teacher the though the classes. This study is based on the cases which are conducted in the teacher learning community consisted of 8 teachers specialized in education for disabled students at School A and it applies the qualitative case study method. The first issue of this study was 'students closed to death'. This issue implies that the students with severe and multiple disability have serious health problems. Thus, teachers faced with the death of their students thought that the time they spent with their students was very valuable. The second issue was 'teachers losing their class'. This issue implies that the teachers feel hesitancy and fear of their classes because of the lack of curriculum and teaching model which will apply to students with severe and multiple disability. The last issue was 'the maturity as a teacher through the introspection and cooperation'. This issue implies that the teachers introspect their classes and cooperate with co-workers in order to search desirable direction of classes. This study has its own meaning to examine how the itinerant special education teachers who belong to the Teacher Learning Community recognize their classes and to suggest desirable direction of class for students with a severe and multiple disability.
