영문 초록

The objectives of this study are to develop and estimate a simultaneous mxlel t19 socio-econαnic characteristics of itvidual or houhold， actity ticipation， and travel pattems, 1d to test the allicability of the mx as a trav nar mxlel. A structural ffUations mx was rltodfmine simultaneously the strucal relationships armng le above variables. An enrical analysis of activity hpation d trV pattems was carried out usir the travel survey data Ït1 Gunsancity, Ko， to investigate and esnate the relaonps armng the varbl included 1be mxlel estimation results show that strong relationships est armng socio- economic chac1stics， activity partipa00， and traVI pattems. And the mxlel shows the signifi얹nt trade-offs between in-horæ and out-of-horæ activity rticipation， and between obligatory and discretionary activies for le ne consi Ït1 this stty. The model proposed in this study can reve떠 how the trip generation is interrelated with demand for out-of-home and in-home activities, and how the time use and trip generation inteπelationships are affected by individual or household characteristics. These results imply that p generation ( trav patts) can be better explained by incJuding activity participation endogenously in the mαlel ， than by incJuding socio-economic characteristics alone like the traditional σavel demand models. This model can be used to forecast the effects of exogeneous variables such as work travel time on the endogeneous variables such as activity participation and travel pattems, cause this model captures the effects of activity participation, trip chaing， and trav times on all the endogeneous variables.
