영문 초록

This research aims to explore the reason why more people go stargazing in different places, mainly at an observatory recently and the activity is increasingly popular as a tourism resource. From the perspective of humanities stargazing tourism can be said an introspective activity with tourist’s inside psychology and a convergent activity resulted from the interaction between the psychology and social culture. The need for introspection includes that humans desire to construct the stable self, emotionally experience the world in the past through images, and interact with virtual world. The modern tourism activities reflect the convergent cultural phenomenon, including the combination of the science of reason and culture in daily life of emotion, increasing people who enjoy stargazing, and the mixing of limitedness and infinity in sharing the values of nature. Therefore stargazing tourism represents the human’s need for fantasy that results from the interaction between human psychology and culture.
