태안 해양오염 사고에 대한 지역주민의 설득 반응효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 허베이 스트리트호의 해양기름유를 사고를 유발한 기업을 향한 지역주민들의 사회적 분노감을 감소시키기 위한 설득메시지와 환경적 복원조치들의 설득효과를 살펴보았다. 가상의 시나리오가 태안군의 해양오염 실태를 묘사하기 위해 만들어져서 조사응답자들에게 보여주었다. 설문조사는 225면의 태안군 지역주민들을 대상으로 수행되었다. 주된 통계 분석은 t검정, 일원변량분석(ANOVA), 다중회귀분석과 위계적 회귀분석 등을 활용하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 사과전략에 있어서 진실성과 아미지 회복에 있어서 가장 설득효과가 높은 것은 보상행위 ＞ 초월 ＞ 불가항력 순으로 높게 나타났다. 그러나 치명적인 환경훼손을 유발한 경우 다양한 설득전략에도 불구하고, 기업에 대한 사회적 분노감과 이미지회복은 지속되는 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 기업에 대한 사회적 분노감 감소에 미치는 대응조치 가운데 ‘환경오염에 따른 벌금납부 및 직원의 해고가 가장 높은 유의한 영향을 미쳤다.

영문 초록

This study investigated persuasive message effects and responding environmental restoration measures that decrease perceived social anger of inhabitants against on enterprise inducing to the seashore disaster caused by the oil spill from Hebei Spirit. A hypothetical scenario was showed to the subjects as a means to illustrate the Taeon region's environmental pollutions at the seaside. Data were collected in onsite interviews of two hundred twenty five indigenous residences at the Taeon county. Using t-analysis, ANOVA, multiple and HMR(hierarchical multiple regression) analyses, the results indicated that compensation was the most prominent message, followed by transcendence, and inevitability in order to reduce residences' social anger and repair image restoration. However, in spite of persuasive strategy, social resentment and image damage were continued in such being the case of leading to fatal environmental dilapidation. Also, the highest coefficient of decreasing social anger was punishable with a fine and lay-off of responsible persons.
