국문 초록

연구목적: 도로화물운송은 중국 화물운송에 있어서 가장 중요한 수송방식으로 자리 잡고 있다. 도로화물운송은 상대적으로 진입장벽이 낮은 탓에 해마다 기사수도 큰 폭의 증가를 보여 왔다. 이와 함께 휴대폰사용은 이미 현대인의 일상생활에 있어서 필수부분이 되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 중국 도로화물운송인의 휴대폰사용과 기타 교통사고위험요인을 전체적인 시각에서 조망하고, 교통사고와의 관련성을 검토하여 운전 시 휴대폰사용자와 위험행동간의 관련성을 발견하여 사고를 방지함으로써 녹색물류에 기여하는 것이 연구 목적이다. 설계/자료: 본 논문은 총 5개장으로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구를 위해 중국의 택배회사와 화물 운송회사에서 근무하고 있는 도로화물운전자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 총 175부의 설문지를 회수하여 이중 불성실한 응답지를 제거해 설문지 162부를 연구에 이용하였다. 표본의 일반적 특성에 대한 빈도분석과 설문문항에 대한 기술통계분석을 실시하였다. 또한, 각 변수들의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 요인분석과 변수들 간의 상관정도를 확인하기 위해 상관관계 분석을 실시하였다. 이어서 연구주제의 확인을 위해 일원분산분석을 실시하여 결과를 도출하였다. 일원분산분석결과 휴대폰 사용과 위험운전요인간의 연계성이 확인되었다. 결과: 도로화물 운전자의 휴대전화 사용과 사고위험요인의 연관성 연구의 분석결과, 휴대폰 사용수준에 따라 위험 불안 요인에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 벌금 횟수의 수준에 따라 위험 불안 요인에 차이가 있는 것은 부분적으로 확인되었다. 벌금 횟수가 많을수록 주의태만, 한 손 운전, 무료함에 포함된 각 운전 위험 행위는 상승한다. 한편 벌금 횟수의 수준에 따라 운전 중 메모나 신문읽기, 운전대화에 포함된 각 운전 위험 행위의 정도에 차이가 있지만 통계적 유의성은 없는 것으로 확인되었다. 독창성/가치: 기존의 많은 선행연구들은 휴대폰 사용의 문제점과 신체에 미치는 영향을 지나치게 강조하는 경향이 있었다. 본 연구 결과가 주는 시사점으로는 운전 중 휴대전화를 사용하는 운전자의 경우 휴대폰사용뿐만 아니라 다른 사고위험행동을 이미 내포하고 있으며 도로화물운송자의 위반벌금이 많을수록 운전 중 휴대전화 사용과 밀접한 관계성을 맺고 있다는 점이다. 휴대폰 사용자는 이미 사고를 유발할 수 있는 타 위험 요인을 사전에 이미 내포하고 있다는 점이다.

영문 초록

Purpose: More and more Chinese truck drivers are using cellphone while performing various logistics activities. Although the importance of confirming and identifying the relationship between cellphone use and trucking accidents is widely known, the empirical analyses on this issue is still very few, especially in China logistics research. The main objective of this study was to evaluate the degree of cellphone use while driving and identify any "cause and effect" relationship in the road transport of China. This study also highlights the relationship between logistics safety and green logistics. Design/Data/Methodology: The paper is composed of five chapters. Respondents were truck drivers at major metropolitan cities and at other small cities in China. The sample consisted of 162 truck drivers between the ages of 19 and 59. The degree of cellphone use and it's consequences were assessed by means of descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, factor analysis, and ANOVA analysis. etc. The ANOVA results indicate that previous penalty records lead to a higher cellphone use while driving. Findings: This article presents results of empirical analyses of Chinese truck drivers’ responses that revealed the self-reported data on both the cellphone use while driving (independent variables) and the traffic accident histories and penalty records for the past several years. A statistically significant relationship between cellphone use and dependent variables (accidents and penalty records) was found in this study. Moreover, empirical analyses showed that more frequent cellphone users have higher risks of accidents and penalty fee payments. Originality/Value: New facts were found by analyzing the relationship between the degree of cellphone use and its results(accidents or penaly fee payments of truck drivers). Possibly, it is believed that frequent cellphone users may already have serious risk factors by themselves, which means that simply increasing the punishment level while driving cannot solve the cellphone problem in truck driving. These results may be a good indication that transportation companies should take the “education for truck drivers” very seriously.
