자동차 물류 전망에 관한 연구

국문 초록

앞으로 한국은 캐나다의 시장을 선점함에 따라 경쟁력을 확보하고 경제 업그레이드하고, 자원을 확보하는데도 유리해질 것이다. 캐나다는 북미 국가 이외의 나라와는 FTA를 거의 체결하지 않고 있기 때문에 앞으로 긍정적 효과가 더욱 기대된다. 한국과 캐나다가 자유무역협정을 맺으면서 자동차와 관련 부품업종의 수혜가 예상되고 있다. 양국 FTA가 국내 산업에 미칠 영향을 분석한 보고서에 “우리나라는 캐나다에 공산품을 수출하고 자원을 수입하는 상호보완적 교역 구조를 지니고 있다”며 “수출 확대와 자원의 안정적 확보가 가능해질 것”이라고 전망했다. 구체적인 수혜업종으로는 자동차 산업을 꼽았다. 이번 협정이 국회 비준 절차를 발효하면 자동차와 자동차 부품에 적용되던 6.0%~6.1%의 관세가 3년 안에 철폐된다. 자동차는 우리나라의 캐나다 최대 수출품목으로 지난해 캐나다 자동차 수출액은 22억2,700만 달러를 기록해 전체 수출액의 42.8%에 달했다. 이밖에 관세율이 높은 자동차용 고무타이어(7.0%)와 냉장고(2.8%) 등도 각각 5년과 3년 이내에 관세가 없어지는 만큼 시장점유율이 높아질 것으로 예측됐다.

영문 초록

As Korea secures a share of Canadian market, Korea seems to have a competitive advantage to obtain resources in the future. FTA between Korea and Canada is expected to bring a positive effect since Canada has not signed with other countries excluding North American countries. Especially, the FTA is expected to give benefits to Korea in automobile and the parts industry. An economics report said that South Korea would export manufactured goods and import resources to and from Canada, which means that the trade structure is complementary. Through the FTA, Korea would have opportunities to expand export and secure resources stably. When the agreement come into effect by the National Assembly of the ratification procedure, 6.0%~6.1% of tariff that has been applied to an automobile and auto parts will be abolished within three years. Automobiles, Korea’s largest export item to Canada, recorded 2.2 billion 27 million dollars in export and accounted for 42.8% of total export to Canada from Korea last year. Also if high tariffs of rubber tires and refrigerators for car disappear within three to five years, each market share is predicted to be grown.
