국문 초록

본 연구에서는 카리타스(caritas)를 해석학적 열쇠로 삼아 제2차 바티칸 공의회의 교회론, 특히 교회의 구조적 차원인 교계제도에 대한 가르침을 고찰하였다. 교회의 본질을 삼위일체적 전망 안에 위치시킴으로써 교회의 원인, 목적, 실존양식을 카리타스로 이해한 교회헌장은 우선적으로 카리타스를 기초로 하는 보편성(catholicitas)의 전망 안에서 교황직과 주교직을 이해한다. 교황은 '카리타스의 보편적 공동체를 주관하는 직무자'로서 보편교회의 신앙과 친교의 일치에 있어서 가시적 원리요 기초로서 하느님 백성으로 하여금 '카리타스 안에서 진리를 살도록', 그리고 그 종말론적 충만함을 향해 역사 안에서 걸어갈 수 있도록 이끈다. 교계적 친교를 통해 보편교회와 연결되어 있는 주교는 선교를 통해 신앙과 그리고 가난한 교회들에 대한 도움을 통해 카리타스로 보편교회 및 다른 지역교회들과 결합되기 때문에 카리타스는 재치권적 제한을 넘어 지역교회들을 결합시켜 전체교회가 살아있는 유기체일수 있도록 한다. 주교는 또한 지역교회 안에서 하느님 백성이 카리타스 안에서 진리를 따라 살 수 있도록 봉사한다. 그러므로 카리타스는 주교직무의 구성적 요소이며 교계제도의 존재와 기능의 모태이다.

영문 초록

This research, with the hermeneutic key 'charity' tried to understand the teachings of Vatican Council II on the Church, especially on the Hierarchy. The LG comprehends the cause, the object and the mode of existence of the Church in the context of charity, and understands the Papacy and the episcopate in the perspective of the Catholicity of which foundation is charity. The Pope who presides over the universal community of charity is visible principle and foundation of unity of faith and communion. He leads the people of God who live the truth in charity towards eschatological fullness. Bishop in hierarchical communion has an organic relationship with the Universal Church, especially through the evangelical mission and charitable aids to other poor churches. The charity exceeds the limit of the jurisdiction and makes relationship alive and organic between local churches. In the local church bishop serves the people to live the truth in love. Therefore the charity is the constitutive element of the episcopate and the milieu in which the hierarchical structure exists and works.
