학문 간 융합연구의 활성화 방안

국문 초록

과학기술의 발달과 함께 사회ㆍ경제적 문제가 글로벌 범위에서 복잡 다양하게 변화함에 따라 주요 선진국에서는 지속가능한 발전을 위해 복합성 기반 융합연구의 지원정책을 강화해 오고 있다. 그러나 국내에서는 융합연구의 토대가 미흡하고, 학문분야 간의 연계성조차 단편적인 수준에 머물고 있다. 이러한 배경 하에서 본 연구는 미국 NSF, 영국 EPSRC, 스위스 SNSF, 한국 NRF의 복합성 기반 융합연구지원 프로그램을 비교분석하고, 정책적 시사점을 제시하는데 목적을 두었다. 분석결과 첫째, 국가 주도로 주요 아젠다와 이슈를 개발하여 상향식과 하향식의 연구지원을 병행할 필요가 있고 둘째, 씨앗형 사업부터 상향식과 하향식의 연구지원방식을 병행 추진하여 전략적으로 저변을 확대시킬 필요가 있다. 셋째, 융합연구 지원과제의 평가기준에 질적 지표를 강화하여 서로 다른 지식 간의 융합수준과 새로운 지식의 창출 수준 등을 반영할 필요가 있으며 넷째, 연구 성과의 국가적ㆍ사회적 확산과 활용을 강화할 필요가 있다는 결론을 도출하였다.

영문 초록

Since science and technology has been developed, social and economic systems has been increased complex and varied problems. and then their effect have influenced to the global society. so, promotion policy of research in major developed countries focuse on the complexity based interdisciplinary research for solving of them. According to these backgrounds, this paper focused on the comparative study between ERE of NSF in USA, PES of EPSRC in UK, NRP of SNSF in Swiss, and Interdisciplinary Research Program of NRF in Korea. In conclusion of comparative analysis, we have identified four political directions for sustainable development. First, it is needed to systemic and comprehensive planning. and then programs focused on major agenda need to develop to top-down funding mechanism. Second, targeted mode need to be add to seed type. Third, the evaluation criteria of proposed projects must be focused on the Qualitative merit(e.g., interdisciplinarity, scientific merit, creative approach method etc.). The fourth, the result of research has to diffused and practiced more wisely in society and nation.
