신천지 구약 해석의 실상과 허상

국문 초록

한국 교회에 큰 피해를 입히고 있는 신천지 이단의 악영향은 날이 갈수록 심각해지고 있다. 특히 한국 교회는 신천지 성경공부의 위험성에 대해서는 공감을 하고 있으나 그들이 설파하고 있는 성경공부 내용에 대해서는 구체적으로 알지 못하여 이에 대한 적절한 대처 방안이 묘연하다. 따라서 본 논문은 신천지에서 가르치는 성경공부의 전체 과정을 조망하고 그들의 구약 해석의 방식을 분석 비판한다. 신천지 성경공부 과정은 복음방 성경공부와 신학원(센타) 성경공부과정(초등, 중등, 고등)이 있다. 신학원(센타) 성경공부의 초등 과정에서는 그들의 대표적인 성경해석 방식인 비유풀이(짝교리)를 가르치고 이를 통해 왜곡된 성경 지식과 해석을 주입한다. 중등 과정에서는 ‘배도-멸망-구원’이라는 교리의 틀과‘예언과 실상’이라는 예언서 해석의 틀을 소개한다. 고등 과정에서는 요한 계시록 해석을 통해서 교주 이만희의 신격화와 신천지 증거 장막 성전이 신구약 예언의 최종 성취라고 주입한다. 이만희는 아담, 노아, 모세시대를 ‘배도-멸망-구원’의 도식으로 해석하고 예수님 시대에도 동일한 현상이 반복된다고 가르친다. 이를 통해 신천지 집단(이만희, 과천의 증거장막 성전, 시온 기독 신학원)이 유일한 구원의 기관임을 정당화하고 있다. 선지서를 해석할 때는 ‘비유풀이’와 ‘배도-멸망-구원’의 틀과 함께 육하원칙을 통한 선지서 해석을 주장한다. 육하원칙에 따른 구약의 예언이 초림과 재림의 때에 실상(實像)으로 성취되었고 특히 약속한 목자인 이만희 교주와 과천증거장막성전에서 실상으로 이루어진다고 주장한다. 신천지 집단의 구약 해석은 ‘비유풀이’, ‘배도-멸망-구원’, ‘예언과실상’이라는 틀로 분류되고 이러한 해석적 틀은 신천지 집단이 주장하는 이단적 교리 정립과 성경 왜곡에 심각하게 악용되고 있다. 이들의 구약 해석은 성경의 의도와 상관이 없는 문맥(역사적, 문화적, 정경적)을 무시한 해석이며 세대주의적 세대구분을 통해 종말론과 언약신학을 왜곡하고 있다.

영문 초록

The evil influence of Shincheonji heresy, which causes a great damage on Korean church, becomes worse than before. Korean church acknowledges the damaging effect of Shincheonji bible study, but we do not know the curriculum and content of the bible study precisely. Therefore, we can not cope with the threat of Shincheonji effectively. Thus, this study investigates over all Shincheonji bible study curriculum and analyzes their method of Old Testament interpretation and criticizes it from the perspective of Reformed Theology biblical interpretation. There are two courses of Shincheonji bible study curriculum, Bokeumbang bible study and theological academy(center) bible study (basic, intermediate, advanced). In the basic level of theological academy course Shincheonji indoctrinates distorted biblical knowledge and interpretation through parable interpretation(so-called pair doctrine) which is one of the representative methods of their biblical interpretation, In the intermediate level, Shincheonji introduces their interpretative frame of the Old Testament, the frame of ‘apostasy-destruction-salvation’ and the formula of ‘prophecy and actual image’ which is their interpretative frame of the prophetic book. In the advanced level of bible study they deify Lee Man Hee, the religious leader of Shincheonji, and infuse that Shincheonji temple in Gwacheon is the reality of the fulfillment of the Old and New Testament prophecy. Lee Man Hee interprets the period of Adam, Noah, Moses with the frame of ‘apostasy-destruction-salvation’ and teaches that the same pattern of phenomenon recurred in the time of Jesus. And through his doctrine he justifies that Shincheonji group(Lee Man Hee, Gwacheon Temple, Zion theological Academy) is the only way of salvation. As he interprets the book of prophet, he applies the principle of five W’s and one H’ with ‘parable interpretation’ and the frame of ‘apostasy-destruction-salvation.’ According to the principle of five W’s and one H, he analyzes the Old Testament prophesy and claims that the prophesy fulfilled in the first coming and second coming of Jesus as actual images, which are Lee Man Hee(so-called promised shepherd) and Gwacheon Temple. The major interpretative methods of the Old Testament are classified as ‘parable interpretation,’ ‘apostasy-destructionsalvation’, and ‘prophesy and actual image’ and such frames are misused in claiming the heretic doctrine of Shincheonji. The methods of the Old Testament interpretation of Shincheonji demonstrate that they neglect the context of the passage(literary, cultural, canonical) and distort the biblical eschatology and covenant theology by presenting various dispensational schemes as seen in dispensationalism.
