국문 초록

Romantic relationship이란 부부간 정서적 관계를 집약적으로 보여주는 것으로 상호간의 책임감과 친밀감, 성적인 만족감 등 정서적 관계의 다양한 차원을 포함하는 개념이다. 본 연구에서는 사랑과 성생활만족감으로 부부간 romantic relationship을 측정하여 중ㆍ노년기 부부의 romantic relationship을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 187쌍의 중ㆍ노년기 부부를 대상으로 Sternberg(1986)의 사랑척도와 Hudson(1981)의 성생활만족도 척도를 사용하여 측정하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성별에 따라 사랑과 성생활만족에 있어 차이가 나타났다. 즉, 전반적으로 남편의 동반자적 사랑과 성생활 만족감이 아내의 동반자적 사랑과 성생활 만족감보다 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 사랑과 성생활만족에 있어 연령에 따른 차이가 나타났는데, 60대의 부부가 다른 연령대의 부부에 비해 사랑과 성생활 즐거움의 점수가 가장 높게 나타났고, 성생활 부담감은 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 연령집단에 따라 사랑과 성생활만족감간의 관계 패턴이 다른 것으로 나타났다. 40대는 남편의 낭만적 사랑이 아내의 성생활즐거움들 증가시키고, 아내의 낭만적 사랑이 남편의 성생활부담감을 감소 시키는 것으로 나타나, 부부간 romantic relationship에서 남편과 아내의 상호작용이 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 50대는 남편과 아내 모두 자신의 낭만적 사랑이 자신의 성생활만족감에 영향을 미치고 있었고, 60대 이상의 경우 다른 연령집단에 비해 사랑점수가 높고 성생활만족감이 높은 경향이 있으나, 남편의 경우만 낭만적 사랑이 자신의 성생활 즐거움과 성생활 부담감에 영향을 미치고 있었다.

영문 초록

Romantic relationship characterized by mutual commitment, intimacy, sexual satisfaction in intimate relationship intensively indicates intimate attachments in marital relationship. This study attempts to investigate the romantic relationship of middle and old aged married couple. For this purpose, a sample of 187 middle and elderly married couples completed a questionnaire that included Sternberg(1986) 'the Triangular theory of love scale' and .Hudson(1981) the' Index of Sexual Satisfaction'. The results of the research were as follows: First, the gender differences in love and sexual satisfaction emerged. Overall husbands' companionate love and sexual satisfaction were higher than wives'. Second, the generation differences in love and sexual satisfaction emerged. The values of love and sexual enjoyment were the highest whereas the values of sexual burdens was the lowest in 60 over-aged married couples. Third, among 40s married couples, husbands' romantic love affected to increase wives' sexual enjoyment and wives' romantic love affected to reduce husbands' sexual burdens. Among 50s married couples, all of husbands' and wives' own romantic love affected his and her own sexual satisfaction. Among 60. married couples, only husbands' romantic love affected to increase sexual enjoyment and sexual burdens.
