국문 초록

본 연구는 학습이 생산역량에 영향을 끼친다는 자원기준 관점과 가치혁신 생산전략 관점을 결합하여 연구모형을 제시하고 이를 검증하였다. 구체적으로 본 연구는 4가지 유형의 학습(단일고리 내부학습, 단일고리 외부학습, 이중고리 내부학습, 이중고리 외부학습)과 2가지 유형의 제조기업 역량(생산역량, 사회적 책임역량)을 구분하고, 학습 → 제조기업의 역량 → 기업성과간의 관계를 검증하였다. 우리나라 제조기업 220개 기업을 무작위로 추출한 후, 구조방정식 모형을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같이 요약될 수 있다. 첫째, 본 연구에서 학습유형들간에 상호 시너지 관계를 확인할 수 있었다. 즉, 단일고리 내부학습, 단일고리 외부학습, 이중고리 내부학습, 이중고리 외부학습간이 높은 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사회적 책임역량과 생산역량 제고에 기여하는 학습 유형에 약간의 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 사회적 책임역량 강화를 위해서는 이중고리 외부학습과 단일고리 외부학습과 같은 외부학습이 효과적이었으며, 생산역량 강화를 위해서는 단일고리 내부학습, 단일고리 외부학습, 이중고리 외부학습 및 이중고리 내부학습 모두가 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 생산역량은 사회적 책임역량에 긍정적 영향을 끼치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 생산역량과 기업성과간의 관계에서 오직 사회적 책임역량만이 기업성과에 통계적으로 유의한 정(+)의 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 생산역량은 기업성과에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 끼치지 않았다.

영문 초록

This study proposes and tests a research model based on both resource-based and value innovation perspective. Concretely, this study examined a relationship of learning → capabilities → firm performance, in manufacturing firms. In this study, learning is classified into four types: Single Loop Internal Learning, Single Loop External Learning, Double Loop Internal Learning, and Double Loop External Learning. Capabilities are dichotomized into two types: Manufacturing Capability and Social Responsibility Capability. The empirical analysis of 220 manufacturing companies with a structural equation model shows the following results. First, it is found that there exists a synergistic relationship among learning types. That is, there are strong correlations among single loop internal learning, single loop external learning, double loop internal learning, and double loop external learning. Second, it is found that each of the four learning types has different effects on manufacturing capability and social responsibility capability. The social responsibility capability was fostered by such learning activities as double loop external learning and single loop external learning, while the manufacturing capability could be built by single loop external learning and double loop external learning as well as single loop internal learning and double loop internal learning. Third, the manufacturing capability has a positive effect on the social responsibility capability, showing that each of the capabilities has a synergistic relationship with each other. However, the manufacturing capability failed to increase firm performance. On the contrary, the social responsibility made a contribution to enhancing the firm performance. This result supports that today’s competition paradigm is shifting toward the value innovation manufacturing strategy paradigm in which the social responsibility capability has greater importance than the manufacturing capability.
