영문 초록

Socially and historically, tea culture of Song Dynasty has many unique meaning in it. This study mainly focuses on clarifying the values of ChoCha which appeared in Song Dynasty though not lasted long but has great meaning in tea history. First, in many literatures, meaning of ChoCha and PyunCha has been mixed up and created confusions even to the scholars. This study clearly defined ChoCha as leaf type tea and PyunCha as fixed formatted tea. Secondly, it clarifies the reasons that ChoCha had been widely spreaded during Song Dynasty. ChoCha has better taste and aroma, easy to manufacture and finally the price of ChoCha are far lower than that of PyunCha. Thirdly, even in same ChoCha there are two distinctive types, which are luxurious ChoCha and Public ChoCha. Luxirious ChoCha used very young tea leaves, and enjoyed in JumChaBup comparing to the Public Tea which used regular leaves and enjoyed in JaChaBup. Fourth, the reason that last mover SSangJungCha could win over the already famous IlJuCha is mainly on the preserving method. Finally, clarifying tea historical meaning of ChoCha as liaison roles that Chinese tea trends are moving from the fixed formatted tea to the leaf tea in the several thousand years of tea history.
