영문 초록

The first aim of this paper is to examine that a personal level factor (a decision maker) can have an influence on the second image (a national level) and, in particular, the third image (an international system level) by taking a close look at decision makers of authoritarian nations while focusing on the personal level, represented as the first image. The second aim of this paper is to examine what kinds of implications the correlations among the three images will have on foreign policies and international developments. In order to meet the ends, the process by which political leaders have seized power in such nations as Iran, Egypt and Libya is closely examined because their government shave been actually ruled by only a single person in the Middle East still reeling from a series of democratic upheavals and then, how their rulings have affected the international level beyond the national level is studied. In addition, as a string of low political factors increasingly impact on the international politics, media effects including SNS (Social Network Service) and CNN as well as effects resulting from the growing power of political economy field are also mentioned. As a result, the above described factors implicate that the three images are correlated simultaneously, not sequentially. This paper is designed to explain that the three images have correlations among one another beyond the level of focus, 'the difference of emphasis'. Furthermore, Its aim is to shed light on how foreign policies are related with these correlations.
