국문 초록

십문(十門)은 ‘열 가지 주제에 관한 쟁론들’이 아니라 ‘관점을 성립시키는 조건들의 열 가지 연기(緣起)적 인과계열’로 보는 것이 적절하다. 그렇다면 ‘십문화쟁론(十門和諍論)’은， ‘열 가지 주제에 관한 쟁론을 화쟁하는 이론’이 아니라, ‘관점을 성립시키는 조건들의 열 가지 연기적 인과계열에 관한 화쟁이론’혹은 ‘관점을 성립시키는 조건들의 열 가지 연기적 인과계열로써 화쟁하는 이론’이라는 의미가 된다. 논자는 십문을, ‘관점을 성립시키는 조건들의 열 가지 연기적 인과계열로써 화쟁하는 이론’으로 보고 싶다. 십문은 화쟁의 대상이 아니라 화쟁의 방식인 것이다. 『십문화쟁론』은 역자의 관점과 이해를 가급적 분명하게 드러내는 해석학적 번역이어야 그 구체적 면모를 보여주는 문헌이다. 이런 사정을 고려하여 ‘직역(直譯)/의역(意譯)/해의(解義)’의 체계로써 『십문화쟁론』 ‘공/유 화쟁’에 대한 해석학적 번역을 시도해 보았다. 그리고 그러한 번역을 통해 『십문화쟁론』 ‘공/유 화쟁’의 논지를 분석할 수 있었다. 『십문화쟁론』 ‘공/유 화쟁’이론은 쟁론과 화쟁의 분기점으로서 언어와 마음의 문제를 주목하고 있다. 그리하여 ‘인식의 언어적 환각’과 ‘견해의 배타적 다툼(쟁론)’이 맺고 있는 연관성(혹은 조건성)을 밝히는 동시에, 실체 관념을 그 내용으로 하는 언어 환각의 치유가 화쟁의 핵심 관건이라는 논지를 전개하고 있다. 공(空)과 유(有)라는 언어를, 서로 섞일 수 없는 이질적 본질을 지닌 실체의 표현이라고 간주하는 마음이, ‘공과 유를 서로 다른 것이라 주장하는 잘못된 집착’의 토대라는 것, 따라서 이 잘못된 집착에서 풀려나려면 ‘언어적 환각’에서 깨어나는 마음 국면을 열어야 한다는 것이, 이 화쟁 이론의 총괄적 논지이다. 언어와 인지 왜곡의 상관성을 밝혀가는 화쟁 이론을 통해, 언어와 인식, 마음에 관한 원효의 깊은 철학적 혜안을 만나게 된다. 또한 존재의 ‘있음’(有)과 ‘실체 없음’(空)의 의미에 관한 오해들을 치유해 가는 화쟁 논의를 통해, 세계를 ‘실체 없이 존재하는 것’으로 파악하는 동시에 그러한 세계관으로써 세상과 ‘하나로 만나는’ 원효의 ‘막힘없는 삶의 지평’이 어떤 통찰을 토대로 삼고 있는 것인지도 확인하게 된다.

영문 초록

『The reconciliation theory on the Ten opinion’s contexts (十門和諍論)』 shows it’s features when it is translated by the translator’s definite points of view and understanding with hermeneutic form. It is trying to make an hermeneutic translation on 『The reconciliation theory on the Ten opinion’s contexts (十門和諍論)』’s reconciliation concerning the problem of Emptiness and Being (空有和諍) with a system of ‘direct translation/free translation/commentary’. And as a result of this kind of translation, the point of arguments of 『The reconciliation theory on the Ten opinion’s contexts (十門和諍論)』’s reconciliation concerning the problem of Emptiness and Being (空有和諍) are to be analyzed. 『The reconciliation theory on the Ten opinion’s contexts (十門和諍論)』’s reconciliation concerning the problem of Emptiness and Being (空有和諍) gives attention to the problem of language and mind as the divergent point of exclusive dispute and reconciliation. So it evolves the insight of illuminating the interrelation between cognition’s linguistic hallucination and exclusive dispute of opinion, and the wisdom of healing the linguistic hallucination that makes the idea of substance. The core insights of Won-Hyo (元曉, 617-686) is this; the bas is of wrong attachment that argues the essential difference between Emptiness (空) and Being (有) is the mind that regards the words ‘Emptiness (空) and Being (有)’as representations of substance, thus if one wants to be free from the wrong attachment, One must open the aspect of mind that is to be free from linguistic hallucination.
