청소년의 의사소통 능력과 학교생활 적응과의 관계

국문 초록

이 연구는 청소년의 의사소통 능력과 학교생활적응간의 관계를 알아보기 위한 것으로, 2010 아동·청소년 패널의 설문데이터를 활용하였다. 연구대상인 중학생 전체집단(N=2237)중에서 의사소통 능력에 따라 우수 집단(N=307)과 부족집단(N=307)으로 나누고, 학교생활적응은 학습활동, 학교규칙, 교우관계, 교사관계, 4개의 요인으로 구분하여 상관분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 의사소통 능력과 학교생활적응을 나타내는 4개의 요인 간에 유의미한 상관이 있었으며, 특히 의사소통 능력 부족집단은 학습활동과 교우관계 요인에서 유의미한 정적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 부족한 의사소통 능력이 학교생활적응을 위한 우정형성에 부정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있으며, 더 나아가 문식성 능력은 구어능력을 근거로 하여 발달하는 것이므로 구어 의사소통능력이 학습활동에서 중요한 요인이 될 수 있음을 지지하는 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between communication skills and adjustability to school of adolescents. To this end, subjects of 2,237 students were sampled from the information, ″Panel data of 2010 on children and adolescents". For this study, students were divided into 'excellent group(N= 307)', 'poor group(N=307)' according to academic performance score. Also, correlation analysis was conducted communication ability and school adjustment, and was conducted inter 4 sub-factors, the scale of adjustability to school: learning activities, school rules, friendship, and relationship with teachers. The analysis of correlation between communication ability and four factors of adjustability to school showed a significant positive correlation. Students of poor group showed a significant positive correlations in 'learning activities' and 'friendship'. The result shows low communication ability for the adaptation to school can have negative effects on the formation of friendship. Especially, the result suggest the spoken language which leads the written language(literacy development) is an important factor in learning activities.
