「어부사시사」의 문학 교육적 문제와 해결 방안

국문 초록

「어부사시사」는 현행 고등학교 2007 개정 문학 교과서 18종 중에서 7종에 수록되어 있다. 전체 40장 중에서 교과서별로 필요한 단원에 맞춰 1장에서 4장까지 선별하여 실어 놓았다. 문학 교과서에 외국 문학작품이나 고전 산문의 경우는 현대 한국어로 번역 또는 수정하여 싣고 있다. 하지만 고전시가의 경우는 원문을 그대로 싣고 있다.「어부사시사」는 17세기의 표기 방식으로 실려 있다. 고전시가만 이렇게 원문대로 싣고 있어 형평성에 어긋날 뿐만 아니라, 고전시가에 대한 흥미를 감소시키는 요인이 된다.「어부사시사」는 그간의 연구사를 보면 시조가 아니라는 주장이 보다 강하다. 그럼에도 불구하고 모든 문학교과서에 시조로 장르를 규정하고 있다. 연구와 교육이 서로 소통하지 못하는 이러한 실정은 문학 교육의 후진성을 낳을 수 있다는 점에서 문제를 안고 있다.「어부사시사」를 비롯해서 한국의 전통적인 시가의 대부분은 노래로 불리던 것이었다.「어부사시사」는 오늘날 전해오는 12가사 중「어부사」와 동일한 악곡으로 불리던 것이다. 따라서「어부사시사」의 교육에 이러한 노래가 적극적으로 활용 되어야 할 것이다. 고전시가를 어렵게 느끼는 학생들에게 흥미 유발은 물론 그 심층적 주제를 즐길 수 있도록 하기 위해서 문학 교육적 방법의 전환이 필요하다. 현전화의 노력은 물론, 연구에서 얻어진 성과를 적극적으로 반영하면서, 통합교육적 접근을 시도하는 것이 그 방법일 것이다.

영문 초록

Currently, “ Eobusasisa” is included in 7 out of 18 kinds of the 2007 revised High School Literature Textbooks. From chapter 1 to 4 out of a total of 40 chapters was selected and published in accordance with the required units by textbook. Foreign literary works or classical prose in the literature textbooks are published in literature textbooks after being translated or modified into modern Korean language. However, classical poetry is textually published. “ Eobusasisa” is published in writing style on the 17th century. It is not only unfair but also causes diminished interest in classical poetry. According to the previous study, it is asserted that “ Eobusasisa” is not Sijo. Nevertheless, it is categorized into Sijo in all the literature textbooks. Currently, research and education cannot communicate with each other, and it has a problem in that such a situation may cause the backwardness of literary education. Most of traditional Korean poetry including “ Eobusasisa” were performed as a song. “ Eobusasisa” was sung as the same music with “ Eobusa” among the 12 lyrics that have remained to the present. Therefore, such songs should be actively used to educate “ Eobusasisa”. It is necessary to convert the literature educational methods in order to arouse the interest of students who have difficulty in understanding classical poetry and to let them enjoy the profound themes. An attempt of integrated educational approach will be the method by not only by making efforts to realize but also by actively reflecting the achievement by studies.
