영문 초록

This study aims to propose basic data for the development of cosmetics for senior women through numerization and specification of the preferred color of lip makeup products after investigating the current use of lip products among women aged over 50 and analyzing cosmetics attitude on lips products for them. According to the analysis of the current use of lipsticks by senior female adults, 96.8% responded that they use lipstick. When asked what prompted them to use lipstick, ‘just for self satisfaction’ was most responded to. When asked about the number of lipsticks they own, ‘4.9 (±2.61)’ was obtained. When asked how many lipsticks they actually use,‘2.9 (±2.61)’ was found. The frequency of daily use of lipsticks was 2.1 (±1.29) on average. It was confirmed that the respondents use lipstick at least once a day after makeup. When asked what color they actually use, ‘red or similar’ had the highest amount of responses. Specifically, ‘8.0RP7.43/4.88’ was most frequently used (22.6%). When asked what color they preferred, ‘red or similar,’ ‘red-purple’ and ‘pink’ were the most reported. Specifically, ‘8.0RP7.43/4.88’ was the most preferred (15.8%). Therefore, it was confirmed that senior women tend to keep using the lipsticks they prefer instead of trying the diverse colors currently in vogue. Hence, it would be a good idea to develop ‘red or similar (ex: 8.0RP4.33/4.88)’ and ‘red-purple’ lipsticks in order to provide lipstick colors for senior women.
