국문 초록

헤겔은『안티고네』에서의 안티고네와 크레온의 대립을 신법과 인간의 법, 친족의 윤리적 원리와 국가의 윤리적 원리의 대립으로 파악한다. 버틀러는 이러한 대립이 젠더 이분법에 기반해 있을 뿐만 아니라 불안정한 허구임을 드러낸다. 버틀러에 따르면 안티고네는 오이디푸스의 딸이자 아들 역할을 한다. 안티고네가 아들 역할을 한다는 것은 안티고네의 젠더 정체성이 여자에서 남자로 바뀌었다는 것을 의미한다. 게다가 안티고네는 오빠에 대한 애도 행위를 통해서 오빠 즉 폴뤼네우케스와 오이디푸스에 대한 욕망을 드러낸다. 이러한 혼란스러운 안티고네의 정체성은 그의 혼란한 친족 구조에서 비롯된다. 레비스트로스에 따르면 인간 사회는 근친혼의 금지라는 보편적인 법 위에서 성립하는데, 버틀러는 이에서 한 걸음 더 나아가 근친상간의 금기가 동성애의 금지를 이미 전제하고 있다고 주장한다. 안티고네의 혼잡한 죄는 이두 가지 금기를 동시에 어긴 것에서 기인한다. 안티고네의 항변은 이 두 가지 금지로 경계 지워진 상징적 영역의 바깥, 그림자의 영역에서 상징적 영역을 고발하는 것이다.

영문 초록

Hegel's primary concern of Antigone is the ethical order of the ancient Greek society. It is, according to Hegel, divided between two kinds of laws and spheres, ie., the human and divine law, the polis and the family, and man and woman. While J. Butler claims that such are based on the gender dichotomy and are fabricated. Accoring to Butler, Antigone played Oedipus's daughter and his son at the same time. It means that she changed her gender identity. Moreover through the burial, she suggested her desire about her brother: Polynices and Oedipus. Antigone's confusing identity results from her confusing family structure. C. Lévi-Strauss claimed that all human societies are established on an universal prohibition law of the consanguineous marriage. But Butler goes a step further and argued the prohibition of homosexuality is a prerequisite for the incest taboo. Antigone's confusing sin is came from a violation from such prohibition. Outside the Symbolic area, Antigone's claim is an accusation of the Symbolic area that is limited with prohibition of incest and homosexuality.
