유아교사의 교수매체에 대한 인식 및 활용의 변화

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사의 교수매체에 대한 인식 및 활용의 변화를 탐색하고자 시도된 참여실천 연구이다. 본 실천연구에는 경기도의 T유치원을 포함하여 서울, 경남지역의 10개 유치원과 서울지역의 10개 어린이집 교사들이 참여하였다. 월 1회 각 기관 또는 학급의 프로젝트 공유 후, 해당 기관의 매체 활용 및 환경 변화 실제를 참관한 후 상호 모니터링하거나, 변화 사례와 내용을 컴퓨터를 통한 시각적인 자료로 상호 공유, 평가, 아이디어 제안하는 형식으로 진행되었다. 이러한 과정은 교사들로 하여금 교수매체에 대한 의미를 알고 교실의 매체 활용 실제를 돌아보면서 부족한 교수매체 활용의 부분과 질을 향상시킬 수 있는 실천을 의식적으로 시도하게끔 하였다. 연구과정에서 도출된 일일·주간 저널, 환경화, 매체활용, 교실 벽면의 기록물, 유아 표상물 등의 다원적 표상자료와 현장기록물을 내용 분석함으로써 교사의 다상징적 교수매체 활용 및 변화 사례와 내용을 추출·분석하였다. 연구 결과, 교실에서 관찰된 유아교사의 교수매체에 대한 이해와 레지오 에밀리아 접근법에서 도출된 교수매체의 활용의 의미를 분석·논의하였으며, 연구과정에서 교사는 교수매체에 대한 사고를 확장시키며 실천이 변화됨을 볼 수 있었다. 이를 토대로 유아교사가 교수매체의 의미를 탐색하고 실천을 반성하며 다매체 활용을 실행하는데 도움을 줄 수 있는 구체적 지침을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study was a participatory action research to investigate the change in young children teachers' perceptions on and applications to the instructional media. 10 kindergartens in Seoul as well as Kyungnam province and 10 day-care centers in Seoul including T kindergarten in Kyunggi province were involved in this action research. This researcher had met teachers once a month in the institutions, and visited their classes to understand the changes in the use of instructional media and the educational environment. The teachers and the researcher shared practical examples and contents of the changes by using a computer as a visual material. This process gave opportunities for the teachers to understand the meaning of the instructional media, and improve the part of insufficient formation of applications to the instructional media in the classroom. The results of this research indicate that the teachers who participated in this study extended the thought of the instructional media and changed their practices of applications to the media. The researcher provided concrete guides for teachers in order to investigate the meaning of the instructional media, reflect practices of applications, and implement the use of various instructional media.
