계층분석과정(AHP)을 이용한 중등교사 교수역량 척도의 하위 요인 간 상대적 중요도 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 중등학교 교사의 교수역량을 크게 이론적 교수역량과 실천적 교수역량으로 나누고, 각각을 5가지의 하위 요인으로 구성한 후 측정도구를 개발한 백순근 외(2007, 2008)의 후속 연구로, 교수역량을 구성하는 하위 요인 간 상대적 중요도를 분석하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 교직 경력 25년 이상의 현직 중등학교 교장 43명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며, 계층분석과정(AHP: Analytic Hierarchy Process) 기법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 중등학교 교장들은 실천적 교수역량을 이론적 교수역량에 비하여 상대적으로 더 중요하다고 인식하고 있었다. 이론적 교수역량의 하위 요인 중에서는 ‘교수설계 및 개발’과‘학습자와 학습’을 가장 중시하고 실천적 교수역량의 하위 요인 중에서는 ‘성의와 열의’,‘학생과의 상호작용’을 가장 중시하는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 교수역량의 10가지 하위 요인 간의 상대적 중요도를 종합적으로 평가한 결과 ‘성의와 열의’, ‘학생과의 상호작용’,‘의사소통능력’을 가장 중시하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 학교 현장에서 전면적으로 시행되고 있는 교원능력개발평가에 있어 평가영역 및 평가지표에 상대적 중요도 차이를 가중치 반영함으로써 평가의 타당성과 신뢰성을 높일 수 있음을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to analyze the relative priority of sub-domains in secondary teacher’s teaching competence as a follow-up study of Baek et al. (2007, 2008). For this study, 43 secondary school principals who had more than 25 years of teaching experience were surveyed and the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was used for data analysis. The significant findings are as follows: First, the principals seem to recognize that practical teaching competence is more important compared to theoretical teaching competence. Second, for the principals, ‘instructional design and development’ and ‘learner and learning’ are relatively important among five sub-constructs of theoretical teaching competence. Also, for them, ‘sincerity and enthusiasm’ and ‘interaction’ are relatively important among five sub-constructs of practical teaching competence. Finally, it seems that the principals value relatively much on ‘sincerity and enthusiasm’, ‘interaction’, and ‘communication’ through comprehensive analysis among ten sub-constructs of teaching competence. These results imply needs to reflect the relative importance as weights on domains and indicators of teacher evaluation for professional development to increase the validity and reliability.
