영문 초록

The aged reach to a larger proportion in the population than ever before, and the aged possess diverse the characteristics. This is the first points to be considered in the elderly leisure. The purpose of this study was to find out the conditions and problems of the elderly’s leisure and to propose several guides for leisure activity. The usual leisure styles of the elderly were passive and restrictive, so more diverse and active programs were needed. It is necessary the aged find ways to maximize years of healthy life remaining in older through leisure participation. Social isolation in the elderly is associated with isolated living conditions, or the lack of social support systems in the community. For that reason many leisure facilities for the aged more needed. The policies and programs reflecting importance of the elderly’s leisure is to be more developed and practiced.
