국문 초록

글로벌 다문화 현상을 이해하기 위한 교육적 시도를 총칭한 것이 글로벌교육이다. 기존의 글로벌교육 연구전통으로 여러 장르가 존재하지만 국제이해교육과 다문화교육이라는 두 가지 패러다임으로 환원되어 담론이 형성되고 있다. 글로벌 다문화화는 섬세한 과정이다. 현상의 본질이 개인으로부터 국제기구에 이르기까지의 다 주체성, 종족문화로부터 글로벌 문화까지의 다차원성, 여러 수준에서 겹쳐 나타나는 부정으로부터 긍정까지의 다면성 등으로 짜여 있기 때문이다. 가장 중요한 연구전통 성립요건으로 연구대상현상이 지닌 본질을 보건대 국제이해교육이나 다문화교육은 한국 사회의 글로벌 다문화 현상을 제대로 조망하고 분석하며 해석하기에는 난망한 것이 사실이다. 이 글은 한국 사회의 글로벌 다문화화에 따른 현재의 문제점들과 예상되는 여러 가지 국면의 본질을 파악하여 협진 패러다임에 토대를 둔 형평주의를 기본 논리로 하는 글로벌교육을 이론체계로 도입하고, 연구전통의 변환 차원에서 교육적 대안을 제시하려는 의도를 담고 있다.

영문 초록

Global education can be defined as a sum of perspectives and strategies for understanding on global multicultural phenomena. Korean global education has been composed of many research traditions. Among these paradigms, education for international understanding and multicultural education is regarded main discourses. Global multiculturalization is made from sensitive and complex processes because its constructs include multi-agents that have individuals to international organizations, multi-dimensions have ethnic to global cultures, and multi-spheres have negative to positive effects. It is pivotal to examine education for international understanding and multicultural education in view of initial conditions of research tradition. These two traditions are not sufficient and necessary to reflect, analyze, and structuralize contemporary global multicultural phenomena. This paper aims to introduce and understand global education for new theory system and transformative research tradition bases on co-evolution paradigm related with global justice and egalitarianism.
