국문 초록

중국에서는 21세기 들어 시작된 기초교육과정 개혁에 따라 사회과 교육에도 커다란 변화를 가져오게 되었다. 이로 인해 신교육과정에서는 새로운 사회과 교육과정으로 초등학교에 ‘품덕과 사회(品德與社會)’와 중학교에 ‘역사와 사회(歷史與社會)’가 신설되었다. 신교육과정에 따른 중국 초등 사회과 교육의 중요한 변화는 과거에 비해 교과간의 통합을 강화했다는 것이다. 교과 간 통합 강조의 결과 새로운 초등 사회과는 기존의 지리와 역사를 포함하던 ‘사회(社會)’에 사상교육 및 도덕교육을 담당하던‘사상품덕(思想品德)’이 통합된 ‘품덕과 사회(品德與社會)’라는 새로운 교과가 생겨났다. 따라서 새로운 교과인 ‘품덕과 사회(品德與社會)’는 사회주의에 적합한 공민의 양성에 필요한 사회에 대한 인식과 사회 참여에 대한 강조 외에도 새로이 사상성(思想性)과 도덕성을 강조하는 내용들을 추가함으로써 학생들에게 사회에 대한 인식과 더불어 사회적인 책임과 행위습관을 동시에 기르도록 하는 명실상부한 통합 사회과로 거듭나게 되었다.

영문 초록

In China, the reform of basic curriculum started at the beginning of 21st century and this reform brought another big change to the social studies. In the new curriculum, 'Pinde yu shehui(品德與社會)' has been included to the elementary's curriculum and 'lishi yu shehui (歷史與社會)' has been included to the middle school's curriculum as a new subject. The characteristic of change in new elementary social studies curriculum is the integration between subjects. Therefore, new elementary social studies curriculum consists of 'shehui(社會)' subject which includes geography and history, and 'sixiang Pinde(思想品德)' related to the ideology and moral education. The name of new elementary social studies curriculum is 'Pinde yu shehui(品德與社會)'. 'Pinde yu shehui(品德與社會)' includes not only the contents of emphasis on society participation and social consciousness, which are necessary to educate people to understand socialism, but also includes the contents of emphasizing moral characteristics and ideology. Therefore, 'Pinde yu shehui(品德與社會)' became an integrated social studies curriculum with contents of society consciousness, social responsibility and good behavior.
