영유아의 가정내 안전사고 발생에 영향을 미치는 요인

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 영유아의 가정내 안전사고 발생에 영향을 미치는 요인을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울지역 영유아의 어머니 1,198명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구방법은 SPSS 17.0 프로그램을 사용하여 교차분석, 카이검증, 로지스틱회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 55.8%의 영유아가 가정내 안전사고를 경험하였고, 이중 낙상사고가 53.9%를 차지하였으며, 주로 방과 거실(39.4%)에서 발생하였고, 56.4%가 보호자가 있어도 사고를 경험했다. 둘째, 영유아의 가정내 사고 발생과 영유아의 연령, 어머니연령, 안전지식, 주거형태, 가정환경안전도에 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 어머니연령, 안전지식, 주거형태, 가정환경안전도, 안전용품 사용이 영유아의 안전사고발생에 유의한 영향을 미치는 변인이었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the risk factors that could affect the injuries of young children at home. The subjects of this study were 1,198 mothers whose young children attended at 45 child care centers in Seoul. Crosstabulation, Chi-square analysis, and A Logistic Regression analysis using SPSS 17.0 program were used to analyze the collected data. The results were as follows. First, 55.8% of young children got injured at home. Among them the injury by fall was 53.9%, and most injuries happened in either rooms or livingroom. 56.4% of the children got injured even in the presence of their parents. Second, there were significant difference in home types, the ages of mother, the usage of safety devices, and the level of safety environment at home. Third, the significant risk factors affecting young children's injuries at home were home types, the ages of mother, the usage of safety devices, and the level of safety environment at home.
