영문 초록

It is presumed that the extinction of the consciousness of unity today was mostly caused by following the Western science and poor capitalism in indiscreet manner. The only way to secure our long lasting future as pure human beings is to build soft society, where all living creatures including humans live and prosper together in leisure-capitalism, and shin-poongryudo that will be a new Korean style of social welfare paradigm. In the recent years, leisure time spent to appreciate poongryu and frequency of the use of this term in our society has notably decreased. Korean idea of poongryu has withered under the massive influence of outside world. Reviewing Korean poongryudo and aesthetics is requisite for overcoming the national crisis as it seems to be the most influential factor in the rise and fall of Korean people depending on how we restore the spirit of our poongryudo inherent in us since the time of Tangun. As we have now entered the world of digitalized information age where every race and nation is closely interrelated, poongryudo is to be appreciated in both the East and the West and the effective ways of establishing the lifestyles based on poongryudo should be spread to make the Earth as a pleasant planet. It is our nobles obligé to keep poongryudo as our national, cultural identity and our refined culture characteristic of freedom, harmony and nature that is brought out from Korean poongryu.
