1주기 평가를 경험한 사립유치원 교사의 유치원 평가 준비 실태 및 인식과 어려움

국문 초록

본 연구는 1주기 유치원 평가 실시 후 사립유치원 교사의 평가 준비에 대한 실태 및 인식과 어려움을 알아보고 이를 교사의 경력 및 유치원 학급 수에 따른 차이를 알아봄으로써 유치원 평가에 대한 개선 및 효율적 적용을 탐색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 1주기 유치원 평가를 마친 사립유치원 교사 284명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료분석은 빈도와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차를 사용하였고, 카이제곱 검증과 독립표본 t-검정, 일원배치 분산분석과 Scheffé 통계량을 이용하여 사후분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 교사들은 유치원 평가 지표를 잘 알고 있었고, 평가 전과 비교하여 평가 후 평가지표에 대한 이해 정도가 향상되었으며, 평가지표를 아는 것과 실제 교육에 적용하는 관련성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사들은 유치원 평가를 받기 위해 적어도 3개월 이상 준비를 해 왔으며, 평가 준비로 인해 1주일에 5∼6일을 야근하는 것으로 나타났다. 교사들은 평가를 잘 받기 위해 평가관련 연수 참여와 우수 유치원의 참관을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 유치원 교사들은 평가 준비과정에서 모든 것이 결과물 제시되어야 한다는 점에 가장 많은 부담감을 가지고 있었으며, 서류 준비와 당일 수업준비 등도 부담스러워 하는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to search for a way to improve and effectively apply the evaluation on kindergarten by investigating the difficulties and understanding regarding to how teachers prepare for the evaluation through comparing the effects of the evaluation depending on the teacher’s experience and the number of classes. The study examined 284 faculties of private kindergartens who had, at the time of the study, the first annual kindergarten evaluation. The data was analyzed by figuring out the frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation. Chi-square test, independent sample t-test, one way ANOVA, and Scheffé were used to conduct post-hoc test. The results are as follows: First, the degree of understanding by the teachers about the evaluation before the evaluation has improved after the actual evaluation. Also, it is shown that the relevance between knowing the index and actually applying it to class is high. Second, the teachers prepared for the evaluation working overtime for 5~6 days per week beginning from at least 3 months before the day of the evaluation. They also attended training sessions and visiting other outstanding kindergartens in preparation of the evaluation. Lastly, the results show that the kindergarten staffs felt most pressured because of the fact that everything they prepared for was supposed to produce concrete outcome, in addition to the pressure of dealing with paper work and preparing for the class that would be assessed on the day of the evaluation.
