숲유치원에서의 놀이와 인성교육에 관한 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 지금까지 문명과 첨단 과학기술이 가져온 영향으로 아이들의 놀이 양상에 나타난 문제점과 인성교육의 필요성을 규명하면서, 최근에 유아교육기관에서 도입․운영하고 있는 숲유치원의 목적과 역사, 숲에서의 체험과 놀이를 통해 달라지는 아이들의 변화를 인성과 관련하여 문헌고찰과 현장참여관찰을 통하여 살펴보았다. 숲에서 아이들은 갖고 있는 모든 감각기능을 활용하여 온 가지의 것을 함유하고 있는 자연을 경험하게 된다. 숲에서 아이들이 만나는 놀잇감은 떨어진 나뭇가지, 곤충의 집, 꽃잎, 흙덩어리, 작은 돌멩이 같은 것들이다. 자연물은 단순한 모양이지만 아이들은 여기에 온갖 상환과 상상력을 발휘하기 시작한다. 숲유치원에서는 무엇보다도 자연과 함께하는 놀이를 통해 다양한 것을 실험해 보고 새롭고 신기한 것을 만들어 보면서 몰입의 상상력과 창의성 발달과 또래들과 상호 의사소통을 하며 사회적인 관계 맺기를 통해 사회성을 향상시킬 수 있는 최적의 교육의 장임을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study is indicate importance of play and personality education in forest kindergarten. Modern society has been criticized by scholars on accounts of its destruction of the environment and inhumanity, The rapid economic growth led to the crisis of education. Consequently, current early education gives attention again to naturalistic education theory which has been developed and improved by previous naturalistic theories. It is well-known that forest kindergarten has established based on naturalism. To achieve this research's purposes, I examined former documents and research analytically which led to abstraction of lower elements. The major research subjects of this study are as follows. 1. This research is analyzed the meaning of play with natural material in forest kindergarten. 2. This research is inquired the importance of personality education in forest kindergarten. These results show that the personality education in forest kindergarten is effective and can promote to children the socialization and creativity. Because children have used fantasy and imagination for play with natural material. Furthermore this research would be a very useful results for application naturalism early childhood education on education environments nowadays with frame of admitting diversity.
