국문 초록

1909년 비롯된 미래주의는 이전 세기의 지배적인 예술경향 특히 사실주의 및 고전주의와 관련한 구시대 형식을 떨쳐버리고 무엇보다도 개성이라고 하는 예술적 자유가 군림하게 한 운동이었다. ‘미래주의 선언’이 일회성으로 그치지 않고 20세기 아방가르드 운동의 불씨로서 유럽 전역에 큰 문화적 파장을 일으켰던 이유는 무엇보다 인식론적 전환에서 가능한 것이었다. 매너리즘에 빠져있던 유럽 지식인과 예술가 집단들에게 미래주의적 변용은 어떤 면에서 미학적 카페인과도 같은 각성 효과를 발휘하게 되었다. 우크라이나에서도 미래주의는 아방가르드그룹들의 공허한 이론으로 머무르지 않고 실제상 문예 전반에 신선함을 가져왔다. 현실을 부정하고 파괴하며 공격적으로 비틀어 보는 태도는 문학에서도 여지없이 드러났다. 전통 리듬의 거부, 통사적 구문의 파괴, 연산과 기호, 기발한 글자 배열(заумна мова) 등 가히 충격적인 실험들을 거침없이 쏟아내었다. 1913년 M. 세멘코를 필두로 한 우크라이나의 미래주의는 ‘기계와 속도’를 표방한 새로운 시운동으로 전개되다가 1917년 후에는 이데올로기적 혁명 전선으로 투입되었다. “공격성이 없는 작품은 걸작이 될 수 없다”라는 미래주의 선언대로 극단적 ‘탐미의 예술’은 이제 혁명적 ‘정치의 예술’로 전위하게 되며 1920년대를 전후로 발간된 저널 ‘예술’(Мистецтво)紙에 발표된 혁명시들은 우크라이나 미래파가 얘기하는 사상적 편린의 궤적들이다. 미래주의는 미학적 전위이자 정치적 전위이고 또한 삶의 전위였다. 과거의 사슬을 끊고 인습과 권위에 대항하였으며 규범에 대한 일탈을 서슴지 않았기 때문이다. 이런 미래주의 특징적 요인들로 인하여 우크라이나 문예계는 풍성함을 누렸을 뿐만 아니라 오늘날까지 ‘역동’이라는 이름으로 우크라이나 사회 전반에 미친 영향력은 지대하다.

영문 초록

Owing to F. Marinetti’s Manifesto in 1909, futurism was initiated for the first time in Ukraine by M. Semenko, who introduced the basic concept of its’ in 1913. As a presage of the Avant Garde Movement of the XX century, futurism’s aim is to destroy old art forms and the dominant trends of the previous century. It rejected all accepted styles and gave individual free regimen in the aesthetics. Also it sought to transmit the ideas and spirit of the future and cosmopolitan society at the same time. Early their poetries are affluent with urban and industrial themes which attempt to strike a blow to the reader. Before the first World War, Ukrainian Futurism did not evoke much synesthesia because of the preponderation of the peasant masses. Despite their persistence on the throwing up traditions and convention, futurism greatly influenced the development of Ukrainian modern culture. Especially the Ukrainian futurists in a field of literature succeeded in resuscitating poetry by suppling fresh themes and forms through their experimentation. The ‘New Generation’ propagated new western european trends such as dadaism, and surrealism. A number of talented contemporary poets have utilized some of its ideas in their work. But in ideology futurism conversed position to the left faction step by step, publishing revolutionary poems after 1920s. Partly it can be attributed to Aesthetics, but it was result of political pressures in quite extent. Because only Communist ideas were allowed in the present age, the publication became a mouthpiece of proletarian art. In view of this it was not completely self made but it was forced to conciliatory, be false to itself.
