영문 초록

In this paper, I insist that air pollution due to motor vehicles is aggravated by the externality which occurs when the polluted gas is emitted. To internalize the externality, the environmental tax levied on the pollutants contained in the emission gas is necessary. The tax reduces the air pollution to the socially optimal level because the consumers drive less in the short run, and removes it because the producers have incentives to develop and produce cleaner vehicles in the long run.
