영문 초록

In this thesis we looked into the difference between actual relationship and conceptional recognition between Han and Koguryo focusing the documents of China. China academic world insists that Koguryo was the tributary of the China because the tributary system and the Koguryo people’s mobilization by Wang Mang. But Han couldn’t control Koguryo by militarily and diplomatically. It seems like Wang Mang mobilized Koguryo people, but it is because the people exaggerated the documents. Even though Koguryo people escaped from Wang Mang, it doesn’t appears to be the Koguryo king’s fault. So, it is difficult to assume that Koguryo was the tributary country of China. Koguryo continued to invade han until Han was collapsed. There can't be a local government that is continuing to have hostile relations against the central government for 200 years. Kguryo was the country that as free from the control of Han. Nevertheless, the curse that Koguryo was the tributary country of Han was from the documents. The history of he East Asia’s premodern times were influenced by China’s historical view. This way of description's one of the characteristics is that there is no conception that considers the relationship between the two countries equally same. So, the relationship between the empire of the midland and the other country is expressed like an emperor and the feudal lords. The discription of the relationship between Koguryo-Han doesn’t get out of this tendency, either. In this reason, China’s historical document shows extreme paradox. it is said fundamentally that Koguryo is a servant of Han, but there is a document recorded that Koguryo opposed to Han strongly. This is considered as a collision of the China’s historical view conceptions and the rule that the documents should be written as it is. Recently, the vision that Koguryo is the part of China is occured from the way of looking the description that is derived only from the China’s historical view.
