국문 초록

본 연구는 그 동안 연구를 소홀히 해왔던 군의 고급제대에 초점을 맞추어 군 고급제대 지휘관의 전략적 리더십의 핵심 구성요인을 탐색하여 향후 연구를 위한 기초자료로 활용하는 데 목적을 두었다. 전략적 리더십의 핵심 구성요인 탐색은 직접조사와 간접조사를 병행하였다 직접조사는 현역 및 예비역 장성 31명을 선정하여 델파이 기법으로 전략적 리더십의 핵심 구성요인을 설문 및 인터뷰 연구로 탐색하였으며, 간접조사는 성공적으로 임무를 수행한 리더들의 관련 자료를 분석하였다. 탐색결과 검증을 위한 실증 연구는 표본을 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 수집한 자료의 신뢰도 및 타당성 검증과 요인분석을 실시하였다. 분석에 필요한 자료 수집을 위해 육군 24개 부대, 해군 2개 부대, 공군 3개 부대를 표본으로 선정하였다. 전략적 리더십의 구성요인은 다양하나 이론적 배경 연구와 설문 및 인터뷰 연구를 통해 전략적 리더십의 핵심 구성요인은 인격 및 품성, 지식 및 역량, 전략적 조직운영, 변화관리 등 4개 요인으로 확인할 수 있었다. 자료의 신뢰성과 타당성을 확인하기 위해 내적 일관성과 탐색적 요인분석을 실시한 결과 내적 일관성이 높고, 구분된 요인들은 측정의 타당성이 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 군 고급제대 지휘관의 전략적 리더십과 관련하여 전략적 리더십의 핵심 구성요인은 인격 및 품성, 지식 및 역량, 전략적 조직운영, 변화관리 등 4가지로 구분하여 적용할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study focuses on military senior echelons whose study have been somewhat neglected, and the purpose of it is to research core component factors of military senior echelon commanders’ strategic leadership in order to provide foundation for future study. For the research of core component factors of strategic leadership, empirical and theoretical approaches were used. For empirical approach, 31 active and reserve generals were chosen and by using Delphi-analysis, core component factors of strategic leadership were explored through surveys and interviews. For theoretical approach, the data relating to successful leaders were analyzed. In order to verify the data, credibility and validity tests of the collected data were used. For this analysis, samples were chosen from 24 Army units, 2 Navy units, and 3 Air Force units. Component factors of strategic leadership can vary, but through theoretical background study and analysis of interviews, it can be confirmed that 4 factors, personality and character, knowledge and capability, strategic management of organization and management of inconstant situation, are the core component factors of strategic leadership. In order to verify and have greater confidence level on the data, internal consistency test and exploratory factor analysis test were conducted. The result of the tests reveals that high internal consistent factors are valid for research.
