영문 초록

This study is an empirical analysis of renewable energy represented by green technology and green cars, to determine whether they have the potential for development into momentum technology and will succeed in achieving low carbon green growth, and employs a fully dynamic computable general equilibrium (CGE) model. According to the empirical findings, green cars have a good chance of developing into momentum technology which can serve as a new engine for growth while renewable energy does not. In reducing the unit cost of production, government support for green cars is more effective than that for renewable energy. It is also expected that green cars will contribute more to economic growth than renewable energy in terms of average annual GDP growth. In the long run, it is feasible to realize low carbon green growth which means environmentally sustainable growth. But, until 2030, meanwhile, reducing greenhouse gas emission will lead to lead to GDP losses. These results from this research have policy implications for the need to set a clear list of priorities by carrying out a thorough technology assessment when government support is provided to encourage economic development driven by green growth policy.
