영문 초록

The convergence minor courses of Glocal Business Programs aim at complementing some weaker parts in the present academic courses College of Humanities has conventionally offered. We anticipate this newly developed curriculum enhancing our educational potential by making good use of basic resources of language competence and cultural literacy. The convergence curriculum of Glocal Business will help students foster their ability to apply knowledge and training in their major courses to social situations for practical purposes. The curriculum has three principal merits as follows: First, the in-depth curricula for four programs of Glocal Business (English Business, Chinese Business, Korean Business, History Culture Business) have been developed in close relationship with the basic curricula of humanities departments. The close relationship between new programs and current curricula will boost the ability of the students taking joint courses, proffering built-in courses designed to meet an individual student’s particular demand. Especially. related core courses in business management offered as cyber blended learning are carried on with an online service accompanied by offline tutorials. Second, some interdisciplinary convergence is assayed by means of matching in tandem human sciences and major courses in business so as to strengthen career-path-oriented programs for the students majoring in humanities. Third, we are developing and applying some innovative pedagogical methods and a system of bilateral communication between students and professors in and outside the class. In our blended learning system a tutorial functions as the fulcrum on which a substantial two-way dialogue proceeds.
