동화들려주기가 유아의 창의력 증진에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 동화들려주기를 실시하는 것이 유아의 창의력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 알아보고자 하였으며 또한 동화들려주기의 효과가 유아의 성별, 연령, 지능 등의 개인적인 특성에 따라 어떠한 차이가 있는지를 함께 알아보고자 하였다. 그 결과, 동화들려주기를 실시하였던 유아들에게서 창의성의 유창성, 유통성, 독창성 요인 전반에 걸친 증진이 확인되었으며 이러한 증진은 실험 대상 유아의 성별, 연령, 지능에 무관한 것으로 나타났다. 이것은 동화들려주기가 유아기 광범위한 적용 가능성을 가진 프로그램임을 보여주는 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of story telling program on creativity of young children. The specific issues for this study are “Is there any improvement of creativity by story telling for young children?” and “Is there any differences the effects of story telling between sex, age and intellectual level of young children?” The subjects were 78 kindergarten children in Teagu, aged 4 to 6. Among them, 39 children were randomly assigned to experimental group and 39 children to control group by carrying out questionnaires and Intelligence test before almost equalizing home environment, intelligence, frequency of story telling at home. In the experimental group, 39 children took part in the story telling program, 20 minutes per day except every sunday during 6 weeks, followed by creativity test and post-test. In the control group, 39 children were allowed to do daily activities. The results of this study were summarized as follows ; First, in the scores of the creativity scale, children in story telling group were higher than those in the control group. Second, there were no significant differences in scores of creativity according to sex, age and intellectual level variable. In conclusion, it was found that children who took part in story telling in kindergarten class showed higher level of creativity without sex, age, intellectual level of young children.
