국문 초록

이 연구는 체육이 전인교육에 소홀하였던 주된 원인이 주지주의의 획일적 교육관에 있다는 문제의식을 바탕으로 하고 있다. 체육에서 전인교육이 꾸준히 강조되어 왔지만, 정의적 영역에서의 인성계발은 선언적 수준에서 운영되어 왔기 때문이다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 홀리스틱교육의 관점에서 체육의 위상과 그 발전과제에 대해 인성계발을 중심으로 논의하였다. 이 연구결과에 따르면, 체육을 통한 전인교육이 실현되기 위해선 정의적 영역만큼은 주지주의 교육관에서 벗어나야 한다. 홀리스틱(holistic)이란 말이 의미하는 것처럼, 체육의 정의적.인지적.심동적 영역에 대해 주지주의를 중심으로 한 기존의 획일적인 접근 방식에서 벗어나, 개별 영역의 특성에 적합한 접근을 할 필요가 있다. 체육의 지식교육, 인성교육, 기능교육은 홀리스틱교육으로써 조화를 이루도록 하는 것이 바람직하다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 인성계발의 단초인 감수성 함양과 관련하여, 몸과 가슴(마음) 및 머리를 동시에 키워 주는 유일한 교과목인 체육의 인성계발 관련 발전과제를 탈주지주의 측면에서 모색하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper was to explore the stature and developmental tasks of physical education in terms of holistic education with anti-intellectual approach of cultivating human nature. This paper was focused that although all the contents of current physical education are not the domain of knowledge it tends to pursue due to the influence of intellectualism perspective in ignoring of cultivating human nature. It has blocked the development of physical education in terms of holistic education. Accordingly, in this paper, considering that holistic education respects cultivating human nature and that physical education is the most proper subject to develop the sensibilities as the core of cultivating human nature, it was explained that we have to take holistic efforts on the physical education for balanced physical and mental development, and also was suggested the tips and comments for holistic physical education practice.
